[Anime] how do you choose a good anime?

Well i just look at the Genre and Art-Style and if i like the look of it, then i give it a go...

I'll suggest what I do, normaly I read the description first then look at what its classed as, if it sounds interesting I download an episode and take a look at it. If its interesting i'll slowly download more but if not I leave it at that.

I usually just watch what I can find or what Edder supplies me with. Sometimes an anime can start slowly and bore you slightly but in the end it can turn out to be quite epic so I say give everything a go; you never know what you'll find.

I'm like Flamus. I don't pick them, because it sounds intresting, but i take them quite randomly and wath the first episodes. If I like it, I download every episode and watch the whole series. ( I haven't found a bad anime yet, so maybe I'm just lucky^^)

I read the description then if i think I will like it I watch the first 4 episodes just encase it has a slow start and go from then ( ether continue to watch it or not)

i usually read the description and look at the genre. also, it depends on what kind of mood I'm in. If i'm feeling a bit bored, i'll watch a comedy. im moody, i'll watch a serious one etc.

I pick an anime that i really liked then search for it on animenewsnetwork or a torrent site, there is usually a genre and/or them description click on the themes and/or genre and it gives you a list of potentially awesome anime.

i usually do some research on the anime looking up its rating, genre, art style and read a short description and if it all looks good i watch the first couple of episodes and decide for myself if its worth watching or not from there

myanimelist.net is a good place to look up reviews, both from the charts as well as the other members. You can also keep track of what you've watched up until now and make a plan to watch list. Any time I look for a new series, I check it out on there and see what it gets.

Watch AMVs from many series. See an interesting scene, find out what anime it is, watch.

The way I chose my anime is by how emotional or sometimes how the characters are displayed in the anime

I usually get ideas from AMV's or if I like the look of the front cover of the anime. Also when I'm playing some of the forum games I get good recommendations from the other people playing.

Its hard to go off of opinions of people you don't know. Sometimes you're just as lucky to shotgun it like I do. I only say this opinion thing because people are way more likely to write up a bad review than a good one sadly. ; ;
