I agree with the Midget and Oby, hurry up with the new chapter and quit tormenting me with the suspense... I want to know whether or not I die...

Kametsu Kombat - Chapter 16 – The beasts of battle

Reijou and Kakashi charged straight in at one another, each staring the other in the eyes, while carefully monitoring their movements. Kakashi threw several Kunai, however, Reijou quickly deflected them, before lunging forward and plunging her swords right threw Kakashi’s arms. Reijou smirked. “Done” she thought to her, however, her smile soon faded.

A puff of smoke emerged from Kakashi’s body, and when it cleared a few moments later, she saw that her swords had pierced a dummy, instead of her target. “Damn... a substitution huh...” Reijou though to herself, looking around quickly. “Not bad” Kakashi called out, his voice echoing all around the forest. “However, you’ll have to do better than that!” He yelled. Reijou caught sight of a slight glint, and instantly rolled to the left, as several shuriken embedded themselves in the ground.

Reijou didn’t have time to catch her breath; however, as several more shuriken appeared from behind her. Diving out of the way, she quickly rolled again, avoiding several more. She jumped back to her feet, and pressed her back up against a near-by tree. “Dammit... how the hell is he moving this fast.... it’s like there are 6 of him!” she thought to herself. Still glancing around, she tried to calm her nerves. She knew that the moment she began to lose faith, to even consider doubt, would be the moment she lost.

-------Meanwhile-------

Random was watching the fight with Oblivia. “I see Kakashi’s improved a lot... and I have a feeling the sparing he’s been doing with you on the weekends has really helped him for this sort of fight.” Random said. Oblivia grinned. “He’s toying with her... As skilled as she is, I doubt she’s a match for Kakashi right now... Even if she is the greatest swordswoman alive.” Random glanced over his shoulder. “I wouldn’t be so sure... I don’t think she’s even begun to fight seriously yet”

-------Elsewhere------

Shazi was busy eating a huge breakfast, while Adelphia was staring intently at her watch. “Dammit! I’ve had enough of this!” Adelphia yelled as she stood up and made to leave, however, her arm was grabbed by Shazi. “Have some faith in your master” She said, using her free hand to fill another pancake with various foods. Adelphia groaned. Deep down, she knew that if she went to help, odds were, she’d only get in the way... and even if she didn’t, she’d then have to face one hell of a lecture about having faith in others. Sitting down, she poured herself another orange juice, and went back to watching the fight. “Hey, can I get another round of pancakes!?” Shazi called out. Adelphia sighed. “Where the hell does she put all that food?”

-------Back with the fight------

Reijou was moving out of the forest quickly. She knew that while they were in that sort of environment, Kakashi had the advantage. The trees and darkness suited his style of fighting perfectly. As she ran, she noticed a river up ahead. “Almost clear...” she thought to herself.

Kakashi, however, had planned for this. As he jumped from tree to tree, he quickly performed several hand signs. “Mizu sutairu – doragon saikuron!” (Water Style, Dragon Cyclone). Reijou leapt back as the water in the river suddenly began to rise up and take on the form of a dragon. “That’s... not good” She muttered. Turning around, she saw Kakashi land behind her. “Your choice.” He said simply. “Fight or surrender.”

Reijou didn’t even pause; she dropped into her stance, and charged Kakashi at blinding speed. Kakashi jumped out of the way at the last second, however, sustained a cut to his side. “Damn...” He muttered, before directing the water dragon to attack. The dragon crashed down right next to Reijou, having dodged the main hit at the last moment; however, she was thrown by the force of the impact, dropping her swords, before coming to a stop next to a tree. Kakashi appeared in front of her, with one hand on his side, to try and slow the bleeding. “You did well Reijou, but it seems this is over.” Reijou grit her teeth together. “Not... Yet... I still... haven’t....” Reijou’s head felt heavy, and began to sway slightly. Kakashi starred at her. “I see... you have a reason for fighting here?” he asked. Reijou nodded. “I... must fight... Oblivia...” she muttered. Kakashi sighed, before removing his watch. “You’ve won this one Reijou, you’re mission isn’t over yet it seems. I forfeit the fight.”

Reijou smiled before passing out. A voice rang out across Kametsu and the world. “Kakashi Forfeits – Reijou Wins!” Kakashi lowered his head slightly picking Reijou up and carrying her back to the hotel.
