why well :

1: character development- unlike some anime where a guy goes and trains for one day and the next thing his the strongest people alive -_- that is fun to a certain point but with one piece the history and struggle to get stronger is very well made.

2. Fillers :( i have actually given up on Naruto don't really know what in the manga and what isn't. One piece doesn't go on a 30 episode filler marathon like other anime.

3.fighting style- one piece contains almost every form of fighting style not just swords or weapons

4. Creativity- LOL it is just well made, I mean who can ever think of pirates who can't swim, just love the humor and build up to fight even though it may become childish sometime still love it.

I was browsing the One Piece wikia while I stumbled upon these facts, and would like to share them with other people:

* Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King, was not captured but turned himself in.

* Usopp is the only member in the Straw Hat Pirates to be unknown to the World Government.

* Sanji's original name was Naruto, but the idea was scrapped since a new manga series was about to come out named Naruto.

* Luffy's straw hat originally belonged to Gol D. Roger.

* Roronoa Zoro was originally planned to be part of Buggy's crew.

* During the whole history of the judiciary island Enies Lobby, not a single person sent there was ever pronounced innocent.

* Zoro's move "Oni Giri" is also the name of a food.

* Monkey D. Luffy is the first and only pirate in the series to ever enter and escape the top three World Government facilities (Enies Lobby, Impel Down and Marineford) alive.

There are still many facts, but I only posted the ones I find most entertaining. I especially was a bit surprised by Sanji's original name.

I love the series because its a tale of brave souls enduring the ocean.

Specifically, when Luffy beats Moria but shadows previously captured by Moria haven't been returned yet & Robin,Zoro & Sanji, who've had their shadows stolen, continue to stand heads held high as dawn approaches with the sunlight disintegrating parts of their body....talk abt brave, huh?

I also like the scene when Buggy is about execute Luffy in view of a hurriedly approaching Zoro & Sanji & every1 else in lougetown...& lightning strikes down the stake.

I think anyone'd agree dat there's an ample comedy in it too & that throughout its course it reeks of strong originality in the characters.

Regarding the straw hat,I'm almost certain it belonged to Gol Roger.

When Rayleigh sees the Straw Hats off at the archipelago,he reminiscences the time he met Roger & Roger was wearing a straw hat.....Shanks was Roger's crew mate. So,its been passed down from Pirate King to Red Hair & from Red Hair to Lufffy.

on a guess if I was going to think about the "one piece" treasure which can be anything in the world but no one would probably recognize it, I'd say it is what its titled as... just one piece of treasure. like literally Gold Roger could have done that, just melt it all down into one mighty gold shiny thing being known as 'one piece' of every treasure he has attained.

or it could be as simple as luffy's hat...

I think it might be a picture of his Rodgers family like Rodger, Luffys grandfather and dad because i cant remember much of the episodes like if he is related to luffy but the D. is a give way and of course a bunch of treasure.

I would personally think that the One Piece is the tree that creates all the Devil Fruits. It can only be found on that one island and it cant be cashed in. Yet it is the worlds greatest treasure and the greatest military might in existance.

that does make sense i can see that. Love the revy pics by the way
