Medora Posted May 29, 2010 Report Share Posted May 29, 2010 This isn't so hard a question for me, favorite characters. I like Zoro because of his morals, and attitude toward life. I also liked that speech he gave at the end of the Water 7 arc as Usopp was screaming to be taken back. As odd as this may be, I also find inspiration in Luffy's attitude once in a while. For example, as hard headed as he is, he chose to heed Vivi's criticism without complaint at the start of the Drum Island arc. What happened was that the inhabitants of Drum Island were trying to deny entry to Luffy's crew, and were throwing objects towards his ship to signify that fact. In reaction, Luffy was about to use force, at which point Vivi scolded him for his recklessness; i.e., his haste to violence would put everyone around him in danger, friend and foe alike. Because he was willing to listen, however, even in the midst of anger, the inhabitants would become the Strawhats' allies. Also, I liked when Luffy explained to Lucci why he would not abandon the fight to go after his crew. As for another anime, Riza Hawkeye. I like seeing women who are not the stereotypical love interest who has to be either a super hot ninja or helpless damsel, and in either case dressed for the part. Instead, Riza acts and dresses like a soldier, which some people may find strangely doesn't require her to sacrifice good looks. Also, an intelligent revolutionary who understands the part she must play, and the end she must meet even if she and her allies succeed.
