You started out hating him as Amuro's rival at the beginning of 0079. By the end of the One Year War, you saw that he was just out for revenge in his family's name against the Zabis. In Zeta, you felt better about him because he was fighting on the good guys side and you could finally cheer him on when he kick so much ass. But in Char's Counterattack, you felt conflicted. He went back to lead the opposition, but you still liked him because he was still badass.
