How often are you disappointed with the ending of an anime?

This is what is special about Anime compared to American Cartoons. They dont always have to have a good ending and that is what makes them unique! Yes, sometimes I dont like the endings, but thats only when I know that there is more to the story. such as Shikabane Hime and Kekkaishi among many others

i think ive been lucky coz theres only a handful of anime that i have not been happy with the ending. the majority of them i loved the ending but then i was sad t see it end XD

I am in between often and sometimes. It's pretty common.

Some dont even have endings and it is so annoying but I guess if it is a business issue I can understand :/

on most anime that leave a cliff hanger or just dont continue as being animated and it continues in manga, those disappoint me the most. Air Gear and Claymore for example, ended as anime, but the manga still keep going. Once you start the series off as an anime, reading the manga doesnt give the same feeling

most of the time. but a lot of that is because i'm attached to the anime, and am sad to see it go. or it's just a ridiculous ending!

I agree with other posters about the lack of a true ending, but sometimes (in the case of Soul Eater), it's not that it was a 'bad' ending, it just became another "oh, this is just the beginning...there will be another threat, and we'll be there" (and so the cycle begins anew) blah blah blah moral lesson blah blah blah *cue dramatic music* curtain call.

i didn't like the way 4Kids! trimmed out yugioh GX and 5Ds final seasons, forcing the series to a rather incomplete ending

Oh quite frequently.

YYH's ending was....satisfying but...not quite in the way it should've been.

Gundam Seed's ending was weird

Death Note's ending was waaay too fast.

Black Butler's ending was -facepalm- worthy.

And then an endless amount of yaoiful animes that im into that don't really have an "end" to be precise.

I'm kinda in between as far as how often I'm disappointed in an ending. I hate it when it's rushed or just doesn't end in reference to completness and loose ends being tied up. Air Gear comes to mind as one being rushed towards the end and moving to far away from the manga storyline leaving holes and no true ending. That being said, I love a fast paced anime that leaves you wanting more (FLCL and Cromartie High School Jump to mind).

Like a few others have stated, i too am upset when an anime ends on a cliffhanger, for example Tenjo Tenge. It ended right before a cool arc and the last ep even set it up.

Its pretty common for me, mostly because I'm sad its ending. The ending for Mawaru Penguindrum was one that stands out for me as one I was really disappointed in for other reasons.

There are very few anime endings that disaapoint me. The only type of endings I call disappointments are the rushed and Incomplete Endings.

I'm not picky when it comes to the ending. I'll only be disappointed when the anime ends with to many unanswered questions, or if I feel like there could have been more to explore in the universe.

I'm seldom disappointed in endings, when they actually make an attempt to bring the adaptation to some sort of reasonable ending. Can't stand the series that just stop, Air Gear for instance.
