I live in India where the Internet is slow and pretty expensive. I want to know what is your Internet speed, which country do you live and how much do you pay for the Internet. Mine is:

Country: India

Type: Wired Broadband

Speed: 2Mbps (256 kilo bytes per second)

Rent: 1000 Indian Rupees for 2 months ($22 U.S. approx)

Usage Limit: 333 hours for 2 months (19980 mins)

I also use GPRS in my cellphone which is

Speed: 128Kbps (16 kilo bytes per second)

Rent: 100 Indian Rupees for 1 month ($2 U.S. approx)

Usage Limit: 4 Gigabytes

well mine is 6MB/s=600Kb/s from At&t; i'd like it faster but it gets the job done

The speed above doesn't make sense right? that because its 6 mega-BITS per sec which is the equivalent to 600 kilo-BYTES per sec its suppose be a different type of data.

Most types of data are in bytes...if they were bits hey it would look like i'm actually paying for 6MB/s! (correct me if im wrong)

enough of that nonsense! how fast is it? cmon you can tell me :D

hi I test the speed of my internet in many sites I got the best speed results from here ip-details

my results are

download=1.09Kbps

upload=0.87Kbps

I don't know the reason why my speed seems to be slow many of them said that if Cable Internet services share bandwidth with satellite Internet access.

If there are many subscribers using that same bandwidth, it can slow down the connection. kindly guide me how to solve this problem .
