I have to say from the trailer this looks to be really good. Lets just hope they don't mess it up.

As likely as not, it will just be another rehashing of Pokemon. I might check it out, but the only real difference is that it will be a different protagonist. Unless they actually focus on the Pokemon battles for once rather than the slapstick comedy, it isn't really worth the attention.

Doesn't "Red" start with Pikachu in the manga as well as the Anime? I admit that I haven't read it, but my understanding was that the show started out mostly following it...

 

This does follow the games though. Anyone who ever started with Charmander knows how much of a pain Brock and Misty can be if you don't level up a lot and capture something strong against rock and water.

This comes as a surprise to me,

I thought they were going to stick with Ash forever.

Not sure if it'll be any good or not, but seeing this brings out a nostalgic feeling in me,

I played those games too much in my childhood perhaps.

i am so pumped for this one i loved the OG one up until Advance then I lost interest but this might be the one that makes me come back

Oh how i would have loved for this to be a new series, but unfortunately it's just a special. Still pumped nonetheless. Anyone else thinking it might be a possibility for them to get rid of Ash in a later series (beyond X&Y)? I'm pretty sure most of us would have enjoyed it if they made the black and white 2 anime adaptation like the trailer that was shown, so much epicness!!!!
