Great to be back. Since then I have begun to collect video games. As a collector I have multiple systems and games that are no longer on the mainstreme market and those that are. I figured I would create a thread for those that are and those that are curious about collecting Video games and there respective systems. Whether its tips and tricks to aid in such endeavors or bragging rights to are collections.NO! If any thing else I hope this will get a disscusion going. I have learned a lot about the video games indestry in the span I started my collection. Understanding why one system died or fun facts and tips for collecting. So far its been fun, i'm not an abscure collecter wanting the most rare or unique of items. Instead I collect the games I want to play, and so far I have played every game in my collection at least once. Some more then others of course. I'm also curius about your gaming dens. From what I've seen a good collector or gamer always has a great gameing den were he or she plays and stores all those fun games. Like the one from AVGN or CGR (Classic Game Room) I don't have a real one yet, all my games and systems are crammed neatly in my room but one day, a few Ninteno pillows, a super media center, Nes controller table and a few more fun items and I can have the game room of my dreams. PS3 and XBOX 360 are my main platforms of gaming now, ocasionally I'll bust out the gameboy/psp for a handheld game. My PS3 can't play some of my PS1 games, so i'll occasionally bust that out too. Eventually I tired of it and made some personal rules to prevent such things from happening. Currently I'm adding to my sega saturn games. I only have five but I still have plenty on my list. I didn't include pc because it tends to fall into a catagory all its own. I have seen peaple collect old systems like an old comadore or games you just can't get now a days. Other wise pc or mac and so on have no collecters vallue. When the get to old people tend not to want them around any more. Unlike a nes or an old system some has grown up with. In terms of collecters I have seen some pretty intence stuff. On you tube while searching around there was an individual who made a vid of his N64 collection. Like, I've been upgrading as I've been going along, but only enough that I can still go back and play my favorite games. For example, I still keep my Gameboy Advance SP around so I can play Gameboy Color games, and I made sure my PS3 was backward compatible, so I can still play PS1 & 2 games. SNES3DSPS3... and soon to be, PS4 My favorite console out of the group is the SNES. It's got a big hole on the side of ther reset, cause i accidentally stepped on it in the middle of the night once. But, it still works like a champ. So many great games on that console. My favorites being Super Mario RPG, FF3, Super Ghouls N' Ghosts, Super Mario Kart, Mario All Stars, Chrono Trigger and some others. After that, I've been thinking of saving up for a 3DS or Wii U, I haven't decided yet.
