Koby
I still prefer turn-based. However the Action-based style of Kingdom Hearts II was a nice change, I'd still like to see turn-based RPG being made. Although I get where they are coming from when they say there isn't much more improvement or new changes they could do to spice turn-based style up. It still feels more RPGish then the rest thus I'd love for them to remain. Things like the Judgement Ring from Shadow Hearts really added a nice addition to the turn-based style in my opinion too. Riku
I like Action base now just because of Kingdom Hearts 2.
†Nutz
I tend to preffer turn based, but the Valkyrie Profile series have been convincing me that a hybrid system is better. The battles system in the original VP is my all time favorite and the one in VP2 is also among my favorites... And yes, I love tactical rpgs as well ^^ Tactics Ogre for the win! VincentsLucrecia
Action based is cool, considering you're able to dodge attacks and hit whenever you want to. Reason being because of the Kingdom Hearts series.
†Koga
Turn based for me. Action would be next.
//Cloud//Strife//
Although KH2's system is great, I prefer the turn based systems, generally because they require more tactical thinking and are usually easier to use than action based methods. †Koga
Turn-Based just needs some new things added to it. Action is great though. I see so far no one is a tactical fan. Neither am I.

Koby
I like the tactical kind too, but not as much as others.
Azerty
I'm still a fan of the Turn-based battle system. However, I do like action and tactical battle systems too. They can add lots of stuff to spice up the turn-based battle system. For example, they can do a reel system (Unlimited SaGa) or make it part action, part turn based (Final Fantasy XII). Linoud
I like the Action most here, Action RPG's end up being a hell of alot of fun.Tales of Symphonia for example, or KH2.Though, I still love the Turn-Based, I reckon they should still make turn-based ones. They're the ones that give a real rpg feel.Tactic games like Fire Emblem and FFT are good, they're just a different style of Turn-Based RPG really. †Emotional Outlet
I... don't care.Turn-based is easiest and most familiar to me, but tactical pretty easy too--I like battle systems that let me stop and think. I'm not too keen on action-based, but I don't mind it. Button-mashing is always fun.The battle system from Magna Carta: Tears of Blood was kind of infuriating at first, but I got used to it fairly quickly (but I guess if it was any other game that did not have a pretty Calintz in it, I might've lost interest and cried).
