"Rare" Dragon Ball Z Dub?

I'm just going to cut to the chase. Looking for rare DBZ stuff. Come across this. Description claims "Rare Box Set."

I'm curious here, as I know these aren't the Speedy Videos (at least, they don't look anything like them). I'd be more than willing to pitch in for the bulk of the price and buy them... that is, if they're not already here or there's something I've missed. Anyone else ever seen them? Worth it?

 

UPDATE: Missed something important.. last word in the title.. "Japanese" ... however, still a re-dub, still rare, still curious if anyone knows anything about it.

I have no idea what dub it could possibly be, but the set looks like a Japanese bootleg. No idea what the quality or the audio would be without asking the seller for more information.

My take on it is that it's most likely a bootleg copy.

I never seen those before and I have seen alot of DBZ DVD's and bootlegs Ive bought as well.

 

What I find weird is on the disc covers they say "Compact Disc" which is usually what you see on CD's, I don't believe I've ever seen a DVD say that because they say DVD on them.

 

It looks like that logo appears on VCD's so I'm going to have to say that seems a bit fishy and or a bootleg. I wouldnt think the quality would be DVD quality since its on a CD sized disc from the looks of it. I don't really have any 100% info I could give. If it sounds like a price that you wouldn't mind spending and possibly wasting, then by all means go ahead and risk it.

It's the mandarin dub, in VCD format.However, I'm not sure it's the official release...there's a lot of chinese bootlegs that are very close to the original.

Oh hey, speaking of poor quality bootlegs, there's this TC mod fore one of the Quake Games called "Bid For Power" which may or may not have something to do with DBZ.

Sometime it will be labeled as rare, because that specific edition is rare. Which would be true.

Not necessarily the dub though.

So I contacted the seller. He sent me this back saying these are clips of it. I'm probably not gonna waste my money on it. As ShinGaijin stated, it looks to be the Mandarin dub.
