  1. 1 - Nah I have yet to set it up yet. 2 - I have an DSL connection.
  2. Hi, I was looking to see if someone could help me out with the installation of the ASUS Wirless-AC5300 Tri-band Gigabit Router, I get the gist of what I am supposed to do but I do not want to end up screwing things up. What I have: RT-AC5300 Wirless-AC500 Tri-band Gigabit Router and all the components that come with it. And my old modem router that was give to me by my isp provider.
  3. That is the 2014 edition if I am not mistaken, I have the older model from 2012 or 2013, hard to remember. The one I have does not have a home button. Alright I will try that and let you know what happens.
  4. Unfortunately the mode showed in the picture is the only place I can get to, pressing the volume up and power button does nothing but go through the start screen loop.
  5. I have no idea how to flash the stock ROM and if given the option, I would rather go with the one where I can recover or copy the data(dirty flash). I got into that mode by holding the power button with the down one.
  6. I did take it to the tech center and they told me they would have to reinstall the operating system, thus as you said I am fucked. Or I was able to enter ODIN mode, note sure if that help anything, but I am open to any ideas.
  7. My bad, so how do I go about factory resetting(with out losing my files) given the conditions I am dealing with?
  8. Crap, I was hoping for a better answer than that, unfortunately they were stored in the internal memory rather than external. I know this is a long shot but is there a way to remove the internal memory like of a computer driver and put it in another or data mine, or something along those lines? The feeling is mutual man, the cost to repair any piece of equipment usually does not warrant the trip and often it is much easier to replace said part. Well to the last part depends on where you live, so long as you are wiling to void your warranty you can pretty much get any third party parts to replace the original ones. I rarely backup any data of mine, and you would think I would learnt my lesson since last time it was only a loop and I could get into the boot menu. Even when the documents are as important as now I really did not see this coming or I would have at least transferred them to my PC. I have a new Tablet(the new Apple one) and was planning to transfer everything there but causality had other plans for me.
  9. Evening, My tablet was working fine the other day, then then all of a sadden it rebooted, and since then every time I switch it one it is stuck on the screen that states "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1". I plan on taking it to the repair shop, but they always just tell me I need to factory rest any of my devices even for the smallest inconveniences. Oh yeah one more problem is that I cannot boot into the boot menu, holding the up/down button with the power one does nothing. The tablet might be a little old but it is where I keep all of my documents, and I would really rather not have to delete every thing.
  10. where ya been?

  11. Yeah that does make sense, so I suppose I will just set it to 30 minutes. To the latter, I see so then for now I got everything I need to know when I finally get the drive. Thanks for all the help fellas till now, I will let you know how it goes when I finally get the drive.
  12. I was reading (this article) up on Western Drives and it would appear as though the drive has an auto park feature and a few other one. I have to ask why is it bad if the drive arks every so often? I see, that might explain why my 300GB drive does not show up on the PS3. So does that mean if I split my drive only the FAT32 partition will show up in the PS3? Further more, lets say when I get the drive and I want to put aside 2.5TB for NTSF and 1.5TB for FAT32, do I have to first format it to NTFS (if it comes as FAT32) then split it or I can just split it like that? First about the head parking, it's bad due to the fact it does it every 5 seconds. It's only suppose to do it every 5 minutes or 20 minutes I forgot. Parking the head too much will cause wear. Second, yes if you partition your drive with FAT32 it will show up on your PS3, but you will have to do it as a primary partition or else PS3 won't pick it up I believe. And no to having to partition the drive to NTFS first, when you partition you will see what I mean. You have unallocated space and you separate it. Man sorry I will have to post back, right now I'm kinda tired >.> I see, so I suppose just something like 20 or 30 minutes is fine, but what happens if you let it park for long stretches of time? And how would I go about choosing which drive is to be used as the main one or does it give me that option?

  14. That drive is exactly what I am looking for, but unfortunately at times I use my drive for 3-4+ and a drive that dies too quickly when left on for too long does not sound like a good idea. Then again if it is my only option guess I will have to go with it, thus far I have not found another one.
  15. I usually stick with Verbatim, never failed me once all my drives I have acquired to date have been that. But unfortunately I have not seen a drive that big from them. I will see if I can find anything on Western Digital around my area. So far all I am seeing are two 2TB put together or two 3TB, is there not one that is just 4TB alone? Nah need nothing like that, I do not touch Mac's or plan to but maybe my sister might but for now never had to bother with anything that should be compatible with Mac's. For now let me just summarize this whole thing and correct me if I am wrong, You can not change your drives system without formatting it first. If you were to attempt that method in the first post you will succeed but will most likely end up with corrupted file Lastly always make sure to format and change your drive to ntsc before using it. Okay then, guess for now I will just keep zipping up the files and unzipping them when I need to use them.
