[Solved] what is Meseta?

The Meseta I'm talking about is the stat that is inbetween your Post Count and Join Date in the box below where your name is when you make a post. I think it's new? I was just wondering what it is and what's it for?

lol koby hasnt made an announcement yet but meseta is currency it has no use yet but it will letting you buy various things you gain them by posting in anything and reading profiles and the like

I haven't made an announcement yet because it's something I am still working on.

I'll make one when it's complete.

Pretty much it's a points system. You gain points from various actions on the forum such as posting new posts, posting new topics, viewing topics, getting your topics viewed by others, having a birthday, sending a pm, etc...

Once I get the system finished setup, I'll then work on seeing about adding a shop system where you can use the points towards buying certain things such as possibly colored usernames, ability to sticky a topic, username change (no longer bother me to do so), etc.. people could charge points to design gfx in the gfx section or anything like that too.. It's up to the users.

As for the name. Meseta is what money is called in Phantasy Star Online. I did consider naming our points Gil, which is from Final Fantasy, but I decided to go with Meseta. Any idea's for credits name can be suggested and we might change it maybe.

"having a birthday"... think that might need rewording on the launch to "birthday present" lol! Unless of course your planning awarding Meseta for things like hair and I color too anyway

Meseta is the currency used in all of the Phantasy Star games, not just online.

Yeah, well technically they're "points" but you can rename them to anything you want.

As Koby said, you can get them multiple ways and later exchange them for things for your profile. I'm wondering what kind of "prizes" will be available.

actually when you think about it, it is actually a good idea. that way it stops alot of leechers, i mean koby could even put a certain amount of points needed to be allowed downloads instead of just 5 posts. that way people that join actually have to contribute to the community!

Hmm... Maybe in the future you can purchase the ability to download anime with your meseta. That could work.

just for fun things, like prizes, accessories, that kind of stuff.

Well that would certainly stop the spammers and leechers, but it could impact the visitor numbers negatively, so I guess using it to redeem "awards" for your account would be fine.
