When you've finished a good anime series how do you feel?

most good anime series makes you really nostalgic ;(

after i watched fma brotherhood i felt happy that it had a good run and still a little sad hughs died even sooner than the last one

I tend to get thoughtful and sombre a lot of the time. I finished FMA: Brotherhood about 25 minutes ago and I sat here in my chair a while thinking about how good a philosophy equivalent exchange is to apply to our real lives.

Equally though, I look at my shelf and the six unopened boxsets up there and I can't decided which one to watch now. I reminds me a little of Schroedinger's Cat. I can't tell whether I'll enjoy the series I put in my player next so I'll stick with the knowledge that I know that cat is alive in the 'box' that I just opened so to speak. Sorry if that went over peoples heads

Again I find myself completely bummed out! I just finished Fate/Stay Night and wow I am pretty bummed and sad that it didn't go the way I would have liked it too.. Plus it's all over now and I have no more episodes to watch... I wish it was much longer... Such a good anime...

i feel that i have accomplished something good if the ending of the anime is also good

but when it is not.... i felt that i just wasted my time watching it

I think it truly depends on a lot of factors. A few shows I've seen, I was genuinely saddened by watching the credits roll on the last episode, and on others, I was excited to rewatch it again soon after, just to keep it fresh and see if there was anything I missed.

A lot of emotions can be invoked by the ending of a great story.

For me after finishing an awesome series in this case The Dragon Ball series i feel bummed or sad, cause in this case it will never come back again and that's such a shame cause that was my child hood right there.

That's just how all of our siblings feel about what we watch, and they still call anime cartoons:anger:

It depends on how well it ended, whether there are planned sequels, how long it was and more. Also, I often would feel both happy to have finally seen it all, but a bit sad that there isn't any more to watch.

lol I just finished HighSchool of The Dead.. and for the first time ever i'm not totally depressed or bummed haha. I'm actually quite pumped! hahah awesomeness ..

dragon ball fing hated it not a worthy ending i was all depressed for like 3 weeks mostly cause i did not want it to end

Well, as others have suggested I also feel it depends of the amime and the ending. I feld different for anime's like Death Note, Full metal panic, Code Geass or others. But I must say i was very dissappointed that Death Note ended..it was really awesome.

i generally feel happy like "what a awesome anime that was" but then soon after sad because the anime ended. sometimes depends on the anime for me. If the anime was too short like 13 episodes i get really bumed but because it was so good.

It depends mainly on if it was a good ending or not. Most good endings make me feel satisfied. Bad endings or open animes make me rage a bit. And Azumanga Daioh's ending almost made me cry

I feel great, of course! But, it does depend on the ending; If I'm subjected to a pathetic and depressing ending like that of NANA, then I feel pathetic and probably rate the anime lower but if I'm subjected to an epic ending like that of Fullmetal Alchemis: Brotherhood, then I feel awesome and overwhelmingly happy.

Sad, there should be more season 2's
