SIGNATURE OF THE WEEK #145

Theme: Cosplay

RULES:

• All entries are to be submitted by Friday, May 16th.
  
• Your entry must be related to the chosen theme.
  
• Only one entry per participant. However, you may edit your entry until the deadline.
  
• Signatures must be your own work.
  
• Entries can be in GIF, JPG, JPEG or PNG format, and should be no larger than 600x220 pixels. Animated signatures are allowed.
  
• Pre-made signatures are allowed, as long as they have not been used in a past Kametsu competition.
  
• In addition to your entry, please also submit a theme idea for next week's competition. Please check the SOTW Themes thread to make sure your theme has not already been used.
  
• Please read all Graphical Division Rules and Forum Rules before entering. All rules apply.

• To vote, reply to this thread, listing your top three signatures IN ORDER. First place gets three points, second gets two points, third gets one point; the person with the most points wins.
• Along with your vote, you may say why you picked the signatures you picked, and/or leave constructive criticism for any entry you wish. Do not feel that you have to, but you may if you want.
• Keep in mind the theme and the connection between the theme and the signature. Please do not vote for the render/image, but for the OVERALL signature you think looks best.

It was, but that was my mistake.  I had accidentally put the wrong theme earlier, it was changed before you posted your entry.  I was thinking about Persona 4 when I did it and that caused me to put it as the theme instead of the actual them.  LOL Sorry

Anyways Emrys I'm worse. I use all my reject sigs and enter them instead XD

 

Also the persona 4 theme sounds way better than this

Well, this isn't my best but considering I can't use my Photoshop at the moment and have to work with GIMP...it will have to do.  I haven't used GIMP in so long I've forgotten how to use most of it.

 

Anyways,  not the biggest fan of this theme but decided to use Konata Izumi cosplaying as Haruhi Suzumiya.

firedogx10 - Very nice job,

poetictragedy - Awesome sig, it could probably use a small border though.

Nagisa - A good sig, it would probably have looked a bit better if it was larger

 

And for the runner ups

 

Tsukumo Yuma - The border is pretty cool, but I personally don't like how the sides are a different size from the top and bottom. Also try colors that go with your sig for your text, the yellow is jsut too out of place.

ParasiteEve - A very interesting design, but I can clearly see some fuzziness along the edges of each letter. Kind of threw me for a loop.

firedogx10 - Very nicely done!! The person and background blend seaminglessly into one

poetictragedy - Also very good, perhaps a border, but am unsure xD

Nagisa - Had to read your post to figure out why you did the sig you did, but makes sense now, very nicely done and I like the cloud effect, and that it was done on Gimp!!

 

Runner ups

Tsukumo Yuma - the text was a little bit of an eye strainer, but thats all can fault you on

ParasiteEve - 10/10 for originality, haha I liked this one! Though wouldnt have it as a sig

You guuuys, I guarantee you that I always have a border. I just used my default 1px black border, which doesn't show up well on the dark forum skin.

My Votes

 

1. Tsukumo Yuma - It looks cute and the border looks nice, the text however should have been more at the bottom.

2. ParasiteEve - Liked this sig, you really thought outside the box and didn't put your sig in one lol

3. Nagisa - I also liked the different type sig you made, and for the first time(at least for me) you never put your username. It could be because you were using GIMP XD

 

The Rest

 

4. poetictragedy - The sig looked nice, but you did mention that you had a border, it was small and black making it almost unnoticeable. I'd be better if you didn't add it.

 

5. firedogx10 - Overall nice sig, but I realized you added a text which was almost unnoticeable it would have been better if you hadn't added it.
