I've liked this band for ages, but never considered them a favourite until listening to this album.2. D'espairsRay - Always been a huge fan of this band. They started out as a really dark 'gothic' band, but lately have been more experimental with rock and pop music. Absolutely AMAZING live, too, which is where I think you find a band's true talent.3. Mucc - Probably the most experimental band I've ever listened to. They've gone through the following styles of music:- Metal- Pop- Punk- Reggae- Ska- Blues- Country- Funk- DiscoAnd pulled it all off rather well. =D Saw them playing live at Halloween, when they were on the UK leg of Taste of Chaos, playing alongside Atreyu, Story of the Year and As I Lay Dying. They were fucking awesome, even though they didn't play any of their old songs, which a lot of people tend to want. Their latest album, Shion, has been a mix of trippy metal, metal, pop, and disco/pop. They're probably the busiest band I've ever heard of too. They've been going for ten years, and they're constantly touring and releasing new singles, albums and DVDs. Even as I'm talking, they're recording a new album and preparing for a headlining tour of America.4. Foo Fighters - Love these guys, for their cool and funny music videos, great music with catchy chorus melodies and all, and really cool Bass lines.5. Sum 41 - Now I'm talking from the "Does this look infected?" era. There's not a single song on that album that I don't like, though favourites would probably be Mister Amsterdam, Still Waiting, and Over My Head (Better off Dead).
