Hm how to start these things off. Well i surpose i shall introduce myself name is Shard and is a self confessed anime addict to long without watching anime and i start tweaking out and ontop/ because of that im a anime hoarder my colletion exceedes bout 15 complete seasons including bleach, naruto, love hina, MM and much more anyways its been a while since i saw a anime that i was salivating and chasing after an anime that i must have so ive decided to cast my net out there to see what i (with your help) can come up with. so fire away. :greedy:

P.s i do appoligise about the spelling and complete lack of grama as you can see i dont care much for it but i do know there are people out there who are fanitical over it in fact im friends with such said people. so this is my appoligy to those people.

Didn't see One Piece in your list. That's another mainstream anime that is bear of fillers.

Fullmetal Alchemist or the Brotherhood version are both very good anime. Brotherhood sticks to the manga while the original strays off and creates a filler ending.

Evangelion 1.0 and 2.0 are very good and the artwork is awesome

Baccano! is a favourite of mine

Eden of the East is good but is heavily political so its not for everyone

Soul Eater is another good anime but has a filler ending but that didn't wreck it that much

Also try Fairy Tail that is slowly becoming mainstream

Full Metal Panic! is funny and has a lot of action. Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu will have you in stitches

Samurai Champloo is obviously about samurais and is funny as well as having mad as action scenes

Sword of the Stranger has by far the best actions scenes. Very fast paced

That should set you up for now and all of these are available in English dub

And by the way this should be posted in the Recommendations & Reviews section

I don't need to apologise to me I'm only a member so I don't care it's the administrators and modulators that you need to watch out for.

By the way Evangelion 1.0 and 2.0 the perspective of the anime is completely different. I think they are trying to just set a solid plot in the Evangelion movies instead of throwing in too many ideas because the psychological aspect of Evangelion in the movie remakes are toned downed and the actions scenes take full flight. There's a new character in the movie as well and the Eva also have other functions that aren't in the original.

Must see in my opinion!!

Welcome Shard to the forum, If you need any help what so ever feel free to PM me and ill help to the best of my ablilty.

Now about your request. Im guessing my anime list is smaller than your but ill fire out a few and see if you have seen them. I personally recommend Gurren Lagann It is a short 27 episode anime but it is one of the most epic ones I have seen! Also have you seen the anime Inuyasha it is a long 161 episode anime (not including it final chapter and 4 movies) and the final chapter of this anime is still being released (well the dubbed version anyway).

Im gonna guess you've Seen Dragon Ball Z due to the fact most have but if you have't this is another good anime complete with fillers haha, it has over 300 episodes and loads of movies for it.

Hopefully this helps!

Good to see us Aussie helping each other out

Here another couple favourites of mine.

Gantz is pretty gory but the plot is well written (I think anyway) but finishes with a filler so if your into manga you should read the rest although its still ongoing

Kara no Kyoukai is and interesting one. It's about murders but also has a supernatural twist to it.

You definitely got to get on to it awesome series except for the ending cause you'll be like "Um... what was the whole point of the show?" and that when you need to read the manga because that's where all your questions will be answered

Im kinda use to doing that it wouldn't be the first time ive had to read the manga to get the ending. haha

Yeah that true I've done it for Kekkaishi, Soul Eater, Gantz obviously, did it for Fullmetal Alchemist before Brotherhood was created (not that the ending was bad), Claymore, Hellsing but they now have the OVAs and soon I'll be reading D. Gray-man when I finish the anime.

Kara no Kyoukai isn't very known that's for sure, can't guarantee that you'll enjoy it but I liked it for the occasional gore and it also has a different take on mages in the fifth movie. Fifth movie is very gory. One of the main characters had her heart ripped out in front of her and then her head torn off with the bad guys bear hand. Fricken awesome!!

Hells yeah samurai_lord sounds epic must say im a big fan of horror tend to watch horror movies all the time. must say though ive never really seen horror incoporated into anime before? im intreged to see how they did it and how effective it is.

It doesn't really fall under the genre of horror it more of a thriller. I've seen a few horror animes like Elfen Lied but its nothing like Hostel or Paranormal Activity

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Anime_of_2011

Check out this link for a bunch of the latest stuff.

Note: Some titles are not 2011, go fig. but its a good place to start since its so easy to use.

My suggestions for 2011 are

Level E- About an socially inept/comedic alien who crash lands on earth, loses his memory and reacts on the diagonal. Its a pretty funny modern style anime comedy.

Tiger and Bunny- In a city were super heroes compete to see who is the best all the while showing off there sponsors. Wild tiger is soon to become a has been. How ever just before it seems like he's going to be forced to retire from being a super hero his sponsor is bought out. The new sponsor decides to do some thing new and creates the "first" super hero duo. Will Wild tiger be forced into the back ground by his new flashier partner or will he persevere.

Genius party and Genius party beyond- Commissioned by studio 4°C they are groupings of short stories that any anime fan will find enjoyable.
