Should I watch Death Note?

Recommended Posts

After watching Baccano! and Durarara!! I became really interested in anime that have the unexpected, and make you think. Because Black Lagoon Roberta's Blood Trail won't be out for a while I need a new story to keep myself entertained (Reading a book strains the eyes.) I'm hesitant about watching Death Note because I remember watching it back when it aired on Adult Swim, and I remember some of what happened, such as the ending (Unfortunately). I don't know if watching this will be as exciting by just filling in the pot holes of what I remember and don't, or will be great again.

Well?

Well it's one of those animes where you either hate it or love it, i watched it and hated it. I honestly don't know why,, could be because i honestly didnt like the story nor did i like the characters. THough it could be because its one of those animes where people like it so much that the fandom ruined it for me. If that makes sense?

In the end i loved Code Geass more so than Death Note since other than the mech they remind me of eachother.

I can agree to that love or hate statement. I've never found someone who just thought it was alright. It's been pretty much love for everyone except you and maybe a couple others who have said they hated it.

As for liking Code Geass more now that is something I find very disturbing. Perhaps that could be true with season 1 but season 2 by no means could be so. Season 2 was nothing more than dues ex machina after plot hole and poor pacing. It's true it was enjoyable to watch nonetheless but it was far from something great. I don't know what went wrong with the studios head that ended up making such a season.
