Myrodis19
For the poster above the only person whom was white by my recollection was Goku, and technically he wasn't asain in the anime he was an alien. Also they will prob americanize it which i dont mind as long as its good.
Leviathan
First of all, no action anime will ever be a success if it gets turned in to a live action movie. We have seen what the directors did with Dragonball. They turned an all time hit anime into a movie full of nonsense activities. Only if directors like James Cameron, Davit Yates, Christopher Nolan and Gore Verbinski works with it then I personally will have some hope. Other than them any usual director will just turn Bleach into something which will only be enjoyed by 8 or 9 year old kids.
greyhoundz7045
Bleach Live-Action Movie or Series.. I'd go with series. . .
Reptoholic
I do not read the manga, and have not seen all the episodes, but from my understanding, some bankai (yamamoto's for instance) are so powerful that they can destroy everything within a certain area. I asked a buddy of mine who is really big into Bleach, and he said that Yamamoto's Bankai is so powerful that it would destroy anything within a couple block of him and that is with him using his spiritual power to reign it in. My guess is that Benihime is ,in a way, like that or the producer is just wanting to keep us intrigued and waiting. I do think it will be awesome though. imunto
Series is way better , Live Action just never cuts it .
enoculum
Hope they don't make it. It could be disastrous. It could really leave a bad taste in ones mouth and that wouldn't be good for the Bleach brand. Director choice screams action comedy...shudder the thought. Reptoholic
It will bomb, they are better off not making it.
sesschanfan
AHHH!!Why mess with a great anime and make it live-action. I will just ruin it.
TopGunman
In my opinion, Hollywood rarely puts out good adaptations of homemade works. What makes them think they can handle doing something foreign, especially when they keep sucking so much? Look at the followingStreet Fighter, twice it failedTransformers, wasn't even about the transformersDragon Ball Evolution, worst of the bunch
robzombiezombie
pretty much it will try to explain to much or to little and everything is most likely going to be shit

skaterdude103
the show was pretty good, but after the first couple series it just got old for me.
sbwan
The bleach anime is one of the most superbly done examples of anime around and frankly the only reason I joined this site to begin with. Can't stand critics who don't have an artistic bone in their body yet always find the time to gripe on some else's work. If you feel that strongly why don't you get off you ass and write your on manga/anime! To the guy that started this post.

Even hard core Bleach fans can admit how bad the show became. It simply tried to rip off Dragon Ball Z and Yuyu Hakusho (which the later was cited and Bleach was originally turned down as a manga for being too close of a rip off from and thus had to be changed some). Tite Kubo, creator of Bleach, had no clue what to do with the series, and kept doing ass-pulls which created crappy storylines and plot holes. I'm sorry, but Bleach is definitely not suberb, nor a good example of Anime. I've seen near 600 series and it wouldn't even be in my top 150. HeavenVector18
I bet that Urahara's bankai will be something along the lines of a sword and shield, seeing as though he has both offensive and defensive zanpakuto tactics.
