Jerck
When it comes to JRPGs I prefer turn based for sure. The basic turn based action in Lost Oddysey was well done. But my favourit would probably be the Tactical Arts System in Legend of Legaia and Legend of Legaia 2. The first game is much better than the second, but the battle system is still awesome. rycuze
id have to say action based.. like most rpg games action is what most of the people would want.. such as fable, asassins creed, Wow, etc..
Max465
Because I like spamming the attack button I'll go with Action Types, but unlike everyone else here, it's not because of KH.Yes, Kingdom Hearts is a great game and the reason I've been playing a lot of RPG's lately, but I will always love The Legend of Zelda series even if it's fighting is nowhere near as main or complex as it is in KH but I love it.I love turn based strategy as well but I feel it takes away from the control. And the more control you have, the more Role Playing you do.
rosen91
The RPG Battle System I prefer is the one thy use in KH2.I hate the boring Turn based games, the only thing good in FF is the amazing story.
†ballard
I like all the options. Each one provides a different experience of gaming. I voted for action based though.
Clobclark
I'm a huge fan of the "Tales of" series so action based...tactical RPG after that...I also liked how Chrono Trigger did their turn based style, where it was turn based but you couldn't just sit there forever or the monsters would destroy you. Daviddaman91
I'm a huge fan of the "Tales of" series so action based...tactical RPG after that...I agree with that. The tales of (especially Vesperia) has defiantly got the right battle system for any RPG. Also Final Fantasy Tactics (all 4) have great turn based gameplay. jarm957
i definitely prefer turn based but i also really enjoy the KH action battle system especially after playing birth by sleep
Nellio
Ooooo, I definitely enjoy the Tales games battle system. (Just finished playing a bit of ToV as a matter of fact.) Also like the old school turn based system. Gives me time to think!

Nellio
This was so hilarious to me. Lol...I suppose that was a bit of a fail on my part...maybe I should start thinking before I type.
Chaffe
I generally prefer turn based. Most recent game I played was the Last Remnant which I'm not quite sure but I think fits into Turn Based. It has a really complicated battle system which I quite enjoyed and is also why I'm probably swaying on Turn-based rather then action.Probably by the time I finish Assassin's Creed 2 (when I get around to playing it) I will prefer action based RPGs. KH2 and Assassin's Creed were very enjoyable for me.
Spanged
Action action and action. But I still wont forget my wonderful childhood emersed in pokemon's turn based gameplay. That was pure classic and brilliant. It practically hasnt changed since. For over a second, its still the same, despite all the other developments elsewhere. It shows you that simplicity definitely can work.
†poetictragedy
I prefer action-based RPGs, like Zelda and Kingdom Hearts. Although I love some turn- and tactical-based games, like Final Fantasy, Pokemon, and Fire Emblem. If a game has a good storyline, it doesn't really matter what type of RPG it is. nellawin
i more liked the RPG game play of Valkyria Chronicles cause its gives you options on how to defeat the enemy and not just having to pick 2-3 strategies
kjw90
turn based, but Kingdom Hearts 2 is way cool. Slightly off subject, but speaking of RPG's a friend of mine got me started on WoW last Monday. I swore up and down I would never start playing that game, but now it's consumed me.
sakuyabloodwing
Some people didn't like it though I really loved the battle system for FF: Crisis Core. It's fast paced and easy to use and still makes the game turn based while allowing for movement.
