When it comes to JRPGs I prefer turn based for sure. The basic turn based action in Lost Oddysey was well done. But my favourit would probably be the Tactical Arts System in Legend of Legaia and Legend of Legaia 2. The first game is much better than the second, but the battle system is still awesome.

Because I like spamming the attack button I'll go with Action Types, but unlike everyone else here, it's not because of KH.

Yes, Kingdom Hearts is a great game and the reason I've been playing a lot of RPG's lately, but I will always love The Legend of Zelda series even if it's fighting is nowhere near as main or complex as it is in KH but I love it.

I love turn based strategy as well but I feel it takes away from the control. And the more control you have, the more Role Playing you do.

I generally prefer turn based. Most recent game I played was the Last Remnant which I'm not quite sure but I think fits into Turn Based. It has a really complicated battle system which I quite enjoyed and is also why I'm probably swaying on Turn-based rather then action.

Probably by the time I finish Assassin's Creed 2 (when I get around to playing it) I will prefer action based RPGs. KH2 and Assassin's Creed were very enjoyable for me.

Action action and action. But I still wont forget my wonderful childhood emersed in pokemon's turn based gameplay. That was pure classic and brilliant. It practically hasnt changed since. For over a second, its still the same, despite all the other developments elsewhere. It shows you that simplicity definitely can work.

turn based, but Kingdom Hearts 2 is way cool. Slightly off subject, but speaking of RPG's a friend of mine got me started on WoW last Monday. I swore up and down I would never start playing that game, but now it's consumed me.
