anime what is the best psychological anime you have seen?

I have recently entered to this world of anime and I would like to know what is the best psychological anime you have seen? I have always loved movies in which you have to think a lot to discover what is actually going on.

I would have to go with Death Note the story line is fantastic and it kept me thinking throughout the entire series! Really popular with a great dub as well would definitely recommend you give it a watch 

 

Another great series would be steins; gate a brilliant suspense filled experience with an amzing plot, its not impossible to work out whats going on at any point but there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing, brilliant atmosphere throughout probably one of my favourite series, would recommend to anyone. 

 

Regarding movies I quite enjoyed the recent release of the empire of corpses not sure thats what youre looking for but it was kinda confusing at times but very enjoyable on the whole! Would also recommend

Try watching neon genesis evangelion. I still don't know what actually happened towards the end.

My favorite is Danganronpa 3 (watching both the Despair and Future arc at the same time)
