  2. I'm not sure if there's any topics like this, but I'll start it anyways. Basicallly, the whole idea is to discuss reviews of anime we've watched and what recommendations we'd offer to the general public. For example, you may pick one(or two) anime you'd like to review(any anime) and state why you would or wouldn't recommend that anime. You can also recommend other anime that you've enjoyed(up to 50 anime) I'll start Anime: Dragon Ball Z Review: This of course was my fav anime in those days. I used to love the action, the comedy and the adventure. However, that battles seemed continue forever, it was a never ending battle that you just wished you could skip. Most of the time it was pointless, mindless battles between the hero and superior beings. That being said, it shouldn't stop you from watching it. It's one of the best shounen anime you'll get out there. Final verdict: If you like action and shounen, you'll find this a treasure 8/10 Recommend this anime? Yes I would. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves action and shounen Other anime to you'd recommend? Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Naruto Bleach One Piece etc. Okay you've got an idea on how it works. Since this is a discussion, we can discuss other things related to this topic.

    Gun Violence and Gun Control

Now I know there is probably a thread for this already but I couldn't be assed trawling for it, plus this is for a fresh discussion. But anyway, here goes. Obviously everyone knows about the shootings earlier in Conneticut and the Aurora shootings are still fresh in many peoples minds. So today while watching the news Obama was purportedly trying to pass a new bill too limit the sale of assault weapons, high capacity ammo clips and obligatory back ground checks on all gun purchases. Now as someone who is an outsider and who doesn't live the US I feel that this is too little too late, but then again I've never lived in a country that has lax gun laws, where almost anyone can own a gun. Also, considering I've never liked guns (I'm a blade person myself, ) I've always found the American fascination with guns to be somewhat off putting and almost barbaric. This is not me intending to insult Americans or gun lovers in general, but how I feel about guns in general; they are tool designed solely to kill. So I come to the purpose of this thread. What is everyone's opinions on this matter? Do you believe guns should be regulated or even outright banned from civilian purchase? Do you think that, in the case of the Second Amendment of the US, that the right to arms is somewhat archaic or not needed in present society? Of course, I also ask the same for all gun laws, everywhere. Also, what do people think is another way to prevent gun violence and those that perpetrate it? Also, considering that not all of the population of this forum are Americans, what is everyone else's opinions on their country's gun laws or how they are handled/treated? Heck, what are peoples opinions on guns in general?

    ~Fallout 4~

Okay so there's been some rumours going around about Bethesda making a Fallout 4, to my knowledge none of been confirmed as of yet but I'm sure another Fallout game is coming nonetheless so here's a spot to discuss what you'd like to see in the next fallout game and what you think needs work from the previous games to make this one stand out. I look forward to seeing what you all put up =)

    Swords, Martial Arts and Dojos

Well, considering how depressing the advice threads in the Balamb Café are atm, I thought I'd ask a few more happier questions! Right, as most of you know, I moved to Australia about six months ago to attend uni. After moving I found it difficult to find any martial arts clubs for me to attend (which is very unfortunate considering Brisbane is a big uni town) as they all seemed to be the "bucks for belts" kinda crap that I have no respect for or any shred of interest in joining. But a few days back I discovered there is a group of like minded university students that are looking too set up a uni funded dojo for students and paying individuals. Now, what they needed was teachers, so I gladly offered my services to teach Shotokan karate (I'm 2nd Dan, so my sensei back home would kill me for even offering...lol) at least for a while and if demand is high. But I also informed them of my fencing background and interest in learning some other traditional sword styles. It seems this went down very well with the other guys setting the dojo up, as Brisbane has a huge nerdy community (massive gaming scene, lots of other groups dedicated to different sci fi and fantasy things, etc etc) which would obviously jump at the idea of a sword school. Here is the predicament. Considering I don't really know much Oriental sword styles (I know a little Jian Shu, some Iaido and a bit of Dao Shu) and I don't know what the laws are in importing swords in Aus, should I strive to go through with this? Should I just stick too what I know, like karate, fencing and other European sword styles? Or does all this sound like a bit of an ego stroking venture too you guys and think I'm getting in over my head? On a side note, this thread would be awesome to discuss some things that haven't really been discussed on the forum before as far as I can tell. for instance, what is your stance on teaching weapon based combat? How about unfederated dojos? Heck, which is your favourite type of sword (I know that most will probably say katana in all, but some might have others) and why? Also, if this is in the wrong section sorry!
