Do you like music for the lyrics or the sound?

It would be silly of me to narrow myself to one option, but I do have a strong preference towards sound than words, as you can make up your own personal meaning to a song, rather than listen to the lyrics and take only that initial meaning into consideration. I love music without lyrics such as Hammock (very emotional and ambient-like) and music like Sigur Ros (who use a made up language they call "Hopelandic" which lets you interpret what they say however you please, which I think is a beautiful thing).

Sound! There's a lot of music nowadays that some lyrics doesn't fit to its beat/sound or vise versa.

I voted Sound. It due to me listening to a lot of Japanese music where I like howthey sound despite not knowing what the lyricsare suppose tomean.

People should listen to the lyrics a little more than just the sounds these days

Lately, just for the sound. Because nearly all the music I listen to is Japanese. Mostly openings, endings, insert songs,character songs, and albums from the voice actresses. I have over 2500 singles and 100+ albums. I just love anime.
