Random Talk.

I'd love to see ANY of you out on the "Battle Field" as you call it. Shit, that should be a new reality show! People killin' and fucking each other because they think they're actually in war. x ] OH! And the last man standing get's a spot on Leno or some half flaccid talk show like that. x D And after that we send him back in season 2!!! Oh! I'm going to hell. : ]

Actually, you would be surprised by how good some of us could be. Some of the Kametsu denizens are in the military. Personally, I enjoy firearms as a sport, and can use most ones that are legal to citizens. Plus some of my buddies are RCMP armorers so I sometimes get to test the latest goodies. Sure its not exactly legal for civilians to fire automatic guns, but its pretty interesting.

meh forget the M134, I wouldn't want to be in the line of sight of this thing when it fires. Pretty much kiss your skin and internals goodbye if this just flew by you.

Oh my, I would hate to ever be near a railgun, unless i was the one firing. Some other nasty ones that are still in development are particle accelerators, basically it can fire small things like grains of sand through tanks.

or... if you're too impatient to wait for the movie you could always start an RP and let the chaos ensue.

On the topic of alcohol, I'm still under 21, but one of the drinks I'd like to try in a few months is butterscotch schnapps. Anyone try it before?

Sadly the RP section is dead, and will probably stay that way until some people spend a great deal of time and effort trying to ressurect it. As for butterscotch schnapps, I have never tried them. But go ahead, im sure that it will either be good to drink or make a good story

There are dozens of movies and books based on people's combat experience. And there are dozens more of people getting caught in situations akin to that. Liquid Fear and Chronic Fear are books about these people who get exposed to experimental products called Halcyon and Seethe. After exposure to Seethe, they're reduced to their most base instincts and are locked inside a testing facility. Things go wrong, obviously. Halcyon comes into play to basically give them amnesia and gloss over their memories.

The RP section is mega dead, which makes me sad. Although it was dying when I was last here, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED HERE!!!!!

So much has happened since I lasted visited.

Yep I don't know if it's just me but I am constantly tempted to touch things that I'm not supposed to, always have actually. I'm even tempted to touch things in my Chemistry class like dilute acids without even thinking, then I think wait that'll melt my finger if I touch.

But I have a question does anyone cloud dream, where you're doing work and just end up staring out of the window at the sky then zone out for like an hour or so.

Because the neighbourhood I'm in isn't really conducive to just letting random people's kids into your apartment. Especially since we don't have kids of our own and don't socialise with the neighbours, we'd probably look like a crazy child-eating couple or something.

Where I work, I don't have windows. Even if I wanted to look out of a window, I couldn't. Yay!

I don't think I'm allowed to hang things on the walls. Even if I could, they'd probably be taken down because we can't have hope in the workplace.

I'm not entirely sure why you would want to touch them (ETA: acids), although every time I was in chemistry and we worked with acetic acid, I had to keep myself from tasting it. I love the taste of vinegar too much for my own good.

Well, I personally call it "daydreaming", but I get the sentiment he was conveying. But that idea that "cloud dreaming" is akin to cloud computing is interesting. There was a comic called Yu+Me that kind of deals with that idea--sleeping people, when they dream, actually go to another land called Nod and that's where they do all their dreaming. It gets weirder as you read on, of course. The Queen eventually locks them all up into separate boxes and sends in workers to act out dreams for people... There's probably other stuff other there like that, though.

It's kind of a scary thought. Like... I don't want to share my dreams with anyone, and I sure don't want to see anyone else's dreams.

I would absolutely love to watch you try to carry and fire one of those things. The recoil... Miniguns are supposed to be mounted...

The M134 is a mounted gatling gun but it can most certainly be wielded by a mobile infantryman provided they have the upper body strength and the balls :P (although of course it should not be carried and it would be very inefficient to do so)

Don't beleive me?

Whoa I was just talking about infantry weapons but if you want to talk about serious firepower then check out the AN602 Hydrogen Bomb code name "Tsar Bomba" the most powerful hydrogen bomb ever detonated.

Personally, I prefer melee weapons to all forms of firearm or projectile weapon (2 handed melee weapons in particular). Just put me on the battlefield with some light clothes and a Buster Sword (or a zanbatou, nodachi, Zwiehander, etc) and I'd be much happier than I would be with a P90 or an Barret 50. I prefer the berserker approach to the sit back and snipe enemies safely from cover approach. :)

I haven't watched many movies people have said I should watch (ghost busters is one of them).

When people were talking about cloud dreaming, I thought you meant people having collective dreams where either they're all seeing the same thing or they're all part of eachother's dreams in the same setting.

And just because you let a kid into your house doesn't mean you'll get labeled as a kidnapper. If you think about it, who would want some random kid on the street? It's more than likely that the kid belongs to normal parents and lives a normal life which means kidnapping them does nothing but add financial cost to your life, make you a criminal, and give you this really annoying mini-human who can't be reasoned with and will constantly demand things of you. You kidnap rich kids or kids who belong to important people so you can extort things from their parents. You let random kids into your house and feed them cookies so that you remind them that some people in the world are actually still nice.
