Dark_Angel13
Finally I am the proud owner of my own house. I got the deed today. Now I have to just wait for the bill from the lawyer. Now I can start saving money because my costs are a lot lower than before.Congratz!
† Mute point
Home ownership is an amazing thing I picked up my house for pretty cheap, it needed a lot of work done.. but I did it all myself (well, with friends for some of it.) so that didn't cost me anything but for materials (and food for said friends... which we later joked about how it probably cost more than a contractor would have )
VolvoKing
I have helped so many people over the years with there houses, lets see what happens when I start asking for help.
EbbedAway
Just a little fussed because we were right around the corner from our destination. That always happens.. All of my car accidents and tickets were within a few minutes of almost arriving or just leaving.ETA: On a highly unrelated note, I ran into this little gem on Tumblr.Dying.Hilarious! My ex claimed I had a period where I'd just act like a b*tch for 3 days a month.

† Emotional Outlet
Blah, this month is apparently the month of massive headaches and stomachaches. Whatever Java has been sick with, I've been getting. Less rotting on the couch unshowered this time around, though. I also bought some baking soda and apple cider vinegar to begin my experimentations in going without shampoo, because that's when you should do potentially traumatic things. When you feel sick.
† Mute point
I'm not going to change my hygiene habits this week... But I am going to start working on re-doing the remaining electrical stuff in the house. Primarily the basement. Since no one is renting it anymore, I think I'm going to make the big room down there the game room. Then we can use the current game room for something else.. No idea what yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.
Dark_Angel13
You could turn the current game room into a study or office for yourself or just a second loungeroom =)
† Mute point
Those are some of the options we've discussed. Also leaving it empty for now, a bigger pantry area, and just storing stuff in it. I think it will be one of those "Figure it out after it's empty" deals.
Dae314
I tried going without using shampoo for a few weeks once. It was terrible. My hair felt dirty and oily and I actually started breaking out after a week or so. I don't care what natural minerals I'm missing out on, I like not feeling subconscious about how I smell all day. † Emotional Outlet
First day is okay so far. Will know more after I sleep and wake up in the morning. I started with one tablespoon of baking soda to a cup of water mixture--same ratio for the apple cider vinegar. It's doing something because my hair felt different from when I first hopped in the shower and after I used the mixtures, but obviously still early yet to tell whether those particular ratios are right for my hair. And the whole waiting out the period until my head stops overproducing oils in an effort to overcompensate for shampoo and alien mothers brooding in my tresses. The transition period seems to last about two to four weeks for most people (although a transition of several months is not unheard of), so I guess that's how long I'll have to stick it out before weeping in the bathtub, cradling a bottle of Garnier Fructis.I still have really long hair so I'm able to smell it pretty easily--my hair is pretty thin and fine, so the length just kind of weighs everything down. No vinegar smells on my locks that I can tell for now; vinegar is a delicious scent to me so I think I would notice if it did linger.Feeling unwashed isn't much of a concern of mine--I've gone days without a shower for sundry reasons. Basic training was essentially an exercise in not taking very good showers for seven weeks while sweating profusely throughout. Warrior week was worse, since we slept in tents vice air conditioned dorms--who knew a person could ever miss a shitty bunk bed--and cleansed ourselves in the spite of our MTIs. I didn't really feel clean at any point during warrior week since we were constantly in the dirt and mud. I don't miss hauling around an M-16 or the entirety of my wardrobe on my back in the least. If the no shampoo thing does work out, though, I've seen people who only need to use the baking soda/ACV rinse once every week or two, so it'd be cool to be able to take shorter showers. I already don't use antiperspirant--I rub a rock on my armpits.ETA: Next I want to try this oil cleansing method. Zanco
I hope your hair turnes out okay? You said so much that I had to go back and read to try to understand but then I'd forget what I read before hand. I've been caught in a never ending loop- there was a name for that but my mind's be so... ~Fart Noise~ Lately that I can't really think to much about any thing before my mind starts blanking out. I think it's because of all the life threatening desease scares I've been dealing with... Tumors, hernias, infections, lypth nodes swolen in my digestive system, arthritis, chroms desease... they threw so many words at me in the emergancy room that tromatized me. † Emotional Outlet
Haha, my hair will be fine. It's not like I'm trying to impress anyone anyway, lul. Unfortunately, my life is not an anime where I have a fan club of schoolgirls dedicated to my very existence. And hopefully you aren't a walking pile of afflictions. It sounds like they were just listing off possibilities. I don't know much about digestive system ailments, but Crohn's doesn't sound like much fun. Zanco
We should start that fan club, of course that'd make me the only male member but I guess I could dress up as a trany to make it work. Heheh. It doesn't, and I just found out today that I have a bit of a white blood cell deficiency, due to all the swollen lypth nodes blocking the white blood cells. All we've really gotta find out now is why is my immune system acting up like this. All-in-all, I don't think I have eather of thouse deseases stated above, even though the attending physician at the ER said there was a possibility of such, but even at that there's always a possibility of any thing happening. I'm just hoping the docter apointment I have tomorrow shines some light on the whole situation, because right now I'm blinder than a bat at a rave, I need some clarifacation on what's goin' on.Eheh- Heh- Hahah- OOooo... That was my responce when I noticed the number of the page was 69.
byakuya98
Use conditioner, works like a charm after a month. If that doesnt work, coconut oil an hour before shampooing
† Emotional Outlet
Haha, the whole point of doing the baking soda/ACV thing is to minimise the amount of random chemicals I put on my head, so conditioner would pretty much be out. Especially since I'm not supposed to use any hair products during the transition. I have heard good things about coconut oil, but that sounds like more work than I'm willing to invest. I just want to be able to not have to wash my hair every day, lul.Good luck at your appointment, Zanco. It is pretty lame to be in the dark about your own health.
lolrawr
Speaking about health. Some dude on our campus died of meningitis yesterday. I hear that it's contagious and people around him could have gotten it too. D:
Zanco
That's pretty scary to think of a thing to thing of, just the thought of dying. I don't care what people say, death isn't some thing to take lightly. I'd rather live in a world of the damned than not live at all, that's my motto.I feel like a cunt for saying; "THAT'SssS My MottO!". It makes me sound like I think I'm better than every one. Heh. † Emotional Outlet
YOLO is also a motto.Dress classy and dance cheesy is another one. It's okay to have mottos. My supervisor when I was in the military would always get afflicted with random ailments. She had MRSA like three times. She once broke both of her elbows in a freak rollerskating accident.I'm really curious whether my hair smells funny and I keep making Java smell it.Also this is probably my favourite page from my new favourite webcomic. They're such beautiful people. I can't handle how amazing they are.
