Shinabyss Posted March 5, 2011 Report Share Posted March 5, 2011 from my experience, you can't get someone into anime by showing them something extremely good. i tried to introduce my friend Code Geass, and he totally got addicted and need to watch new episodes as soon as it came out. I watched and loved Digimon, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. without knowing that they were anime.When Inuyasha started up on TV, along with Gundam SEED and Witch Hunter Robin, I got a taste of "real" anime - by real, I mean non-Americanized. Now he just keeps getting high school anime and unfortunately his condition is critical he isn't just addicted to anime but is in love with the hentai (just so you know in japan this would be stuff like soft porn e.g. MTV so actually ecchi, which is a term that is more sexually explicit in japan) and is also bringing in percy echo Japanese movies I almost regret showing him anything but still he's a pretty good friend. It showed on upn or some obscure network when all the other morning cartoons sucked. Besides that it was Outlaw Star and DBZ. Of course anime like Bleach and Inuyasha have kept me watching.
