Welcome the vBulletin software!

Hey Everyone,

I purchased a vBulletin owned license for $160. I then began to download the software, upload it, and convert our SMF MySQL Database to it. After that was done I then needed to edit pretty much every setting of the forum and ol' boy does vB have tons of settings. =P

Anyhow after finishing with that, I decided to install a couple modifications to the forum. Here is a list of what has been installed:

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=122986 - Cyb Advanced Statistics

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=119572 - Welcome Headers

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=133366 - Check Version for all Hacks

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=136254 - Require X Posts to Use PM System

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=114012 - v3 Arcade

So I hope you like the new forum and it's features. With that said, all new members will need at least 5 posts before being allowed to use the Private Message System. You must also have at least 5 posts to play in the Arcade!

Also please read this thread: Your Input on a Couple Things

And give your input on the idea's place there.

-Koby.

Why start over? I think this a better than IPB. We finally got some security in here. I am, however not happy about something. The spell check is gone. You guys know I can't spell. :P Maybe we should set the FMv7 as the default skin so everyone won'y be looking at the vB default skin.

lol. Download the latest version of FireFox, it automatically does spell check when your typing in a text area and underlines words spelled wrong, then you can right click then select the correct one.

The FMv7 is hidden from regular members. Only us admins can see it..

I wish I could have hidden it completely. We aren't using it yet because I am still working on it. It's the first vB skin I've ever worked on. When I finish it, then it will be default. But I happen to really like the default vB skin too. xD

As for spell checker, yes you should use Firefox anyhow.. It's the #1 recommended browser from website owners. Because for one, it displays the site how it was coded (unlike IE, which displays it how it thinks it should). Also like yo-yo-yo2 said.. it has a spell checker. =P

But yo-yo-yo2.. I see no reason in restarting the forum.. O.o And thanks Mujklob.

It will be nice when a custom skin is available for us to enjoy. I'm personally a fan of IPB, and I always will be because I'm so used to it... however, I can tolerate vBulletin, and a change in features is ultimately refreshing.

For those who don't like the default or want to see something a little different I have installed a simple skin called softblue. You can change to it via the dropdown box at the bottom of every page or in your profile options I believe. ^_^

And I am working on a custom vB skin.. but it's my first skin ever in vB, and I'm more worried about getting some other stuff done then rushing on it. xD
