Dab is a Cunt
Deadpool is coming to television. FXX has ordered a 10-episode animated series about the Marvel character from Atlanta creator Donald Glover and his brother Stephen. The series is expected to air sometime in 2018. The brothers will serve as executive producers, showrunners, and writers for the as-of-yet-untitled series, which will be produced by Marvel Television for FXX. It’s not clear how the show will fit into the growing universe of Marvel films and television shows, but its sister channel FX is already home to another Marvel show, Legion. No cast for the show has been announced, and it’s not known if Ryan Reynolds, who portrayed the character in last year’s blockbuster film, will be involved. Last year, FX head John Landgraf revealed that FXX will be “aggressively” working on more animated shows, explaining that shows like Cartoon Network’s Rick & Morty was a good example of how the format could be successful with adults. The network is already home to Archer, an animated action-comedy about a misfit group of covert operatives. Given that last year’s Deadpool made a splash for its raunchy humor and profanity, an edgy, animated version of the character feels like it would be at home in that space. For his part, Glover is no stranger to FX: his show Atlanta gained considerable acclaim last year. Deadpool adds to his considerably busy schedule, which has pushed Atlanta’s second season back to 2018. In addition to appearing in this year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, he’s portraying Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo anthology film, and is voicing Simba in the live-action remake of The Lion King.

pinkmattered
I'm definitely looking forward to this, but maybe I am a little wary of Donald Glover backing it? Whatever happens I'll still watch just to give it a chance
thedoctor2014
This will be good, really really good. Love Deadpool and a cartoon series of his own is long overdue.
Koby
I was interested and had hope for this, but it seems it's most likely been canned. Glover last reported that his scripts were trashed by the network and he's apparently moved on.

spaceman99
I love how they get actors, directors, and the "best" screen writers for projects like this, ig ones, rather than getting writers that are associated with cartoons, then tank it because the writing sucked BEFORE they ever produce an episode. What do they expect? There are TONS of writers from comics to cartoons who could give this proper scripts, instead they get a "popular" actor. Speaking of adult cartoons, the Mask is long overdue for a PROPER treatment faithful to the comic.
