SIGNATURE OF THE WEEK #169


Theme: 2013 - 2014 Games

 

RULES:

  • All entries are to be submitted by Friday, November 7th.
  • Your entry must be related to the chosen theme.
  • Only one entry per participant. However, you may edit your entry until the deadline.
  • Signatures must be your own work.
  • Entries can be in GIF, JPG, JPEG or PNG format, and should be no larger than 600x220 pixels. Animated signatures are allowed.
  • Pre-made signatures are allowed, as long as they have not been used in a past Kametsu competition.
  • In addition to your entry, please also submit a theme idea for next week's competition. Please check the SOTW Themes thread to make sure your theme has not already been used.
  • Please read all Graphical Division Rules and Forum Rules before entering. All rules apply.
  • Only entries should be posted until voting begins. Anything besides entries and staff announcements will be treated as spam and will be deleted. Comments, criticism, and discussions should be saved for voting. Complaints about the theme will not be tolerated, as this is disrespectful to the previous winner. As such, these posts will be deleted.

RULES:

  • All votes are to be submitted by Sunday, November 9th.
  • To vote, reply to this thread, listing your top three signatures IN ORDER. First place gets three points, second gets two points, third gets one point; the person with the most points wins.
  • Along with your vote, you may say why you picked the signatures you picked, and/or leave constructive criticism for any entry you wish. Do not feel that you have to, but you may if you want.
  • Keep in mind the theme and the connection between the theme and the signature. Please do not vote for the render/image, but for the OVERALL signature you think looks best.
  • Avoid favoritism.
  • You may not vote for yourself.

Sally - Fit the theme the best.
Bob - Text could have been better.
Anna - Render placement was a little off.

You just make the most amazing sigs! I love the way you did the text and the font you used, the colors just go so well together and it so blended it looks like official artwork.

 I liked the way you shaped your sig, the coloring is nice and well are the renders you used and I really like the slight popout with the gun and whatnot.

I think a slight blur on the background would have been nice. (but thats just me, I like blurring everything)

When I think of I:SS I always think of really colorful stuff, but you really made this two-tone work really well in your favor, also liking how you used the I:SS logo.

It feels a little empty is some places, maybe adding something where the big spot of black is would have helped.

I like that you matched the bg color with the render, but it just looks like render and bg, nothing is really molding the two together.
Also liking that you used the MK logo, but the placing is off IMO

(-)I think text is too far off focal, so you can only choose one to focus on at a time
/ I'm not sure though, still don't understand text placement very well /

Kouhai - awesome color merging, it was like broken glass, and each shard shows another world

Limitless - good, but it felt empty in some spots

ParasiteEve - kind of took me a while to figure out what I was looking at, the render and backround blended together sort of, but a robot in what looks like the red light district is amusing
