greektoonsnick
I think Digital Media (DDL) it's the best
Krazywhiteguy
I like having physical copies of my media. I like displaying my content. They are almost like trophies.

hsviewer
If your hard drive crashes, I think you'll see the obvious advantage to physical media. You can keep a copy of your disks for ease of use, and store the originals as back-ups.
Homestead1
Digital (DDL) for a few reasons. 1. This ain't the 90's. A categorized disc folder, book, and/or album is not how I want to travel with my media. 2. I don't play any video games. (1 of 3 reason for any disc) 3. In case of a fire most disc are toast. Even a primary storage will be harmed. But having all DDL backed up on a 8Tb drive in a safe local can really be a life saver. 4. All media at a click and not having to insert/eject discs. Saving time. 5. When you have you Anime/Manga on display people want to touch, examine, borrow (hell to the naw), and ask questions (unrelated to the show).
ragnawind
I vastly prefer physical, especially since digital that can be stored can often get you in trouble if found out and physical can last a lot longer, even after official digital stores close. Hydiin
Digital all the way. I dont have room for all those dvds
bigboss154
Digital for the ease of access, but I do have a soft spot for some of the more elaborate physical releases.
ochu
Digital, as long as it's DRM-free. I would hate it, if I'm not able to watch my shows/movies in a years anymore.  Since there is nearly no DRM-free digital content, I still buy physical media. bentheguitarman
physical all the way, would rather have 1 50gb blu ray disc over a 30gb uncompressed video file on a hdd that could fail at any time
Grundy
Both , but I prefer physical ( collector's addiction )
tkoreaper
While I do prefer having physical copies they end up not being used at all and just become a collector's item so at the end of the day it's just much easier to manage stuff digitally. Also, anything except lossless is unacceptable lol.
tphoenix
Just for the ease of access I prefer digital media. I do have a bit of a Blu-ray/DVD collection, but I rarely pull anything out of it these days.
FuryLiger
Physical, that way you can make your own back-ups
Redphin
When it comes to music I like physical. I like to have the disc itself and the actual booklet. I do rip all my music to disc though so that I can play whatever I want from my pc at the click of a button and transfer whatever I feel like listening to over to my phone. When it comes to movies it depends on the title. For most movies digital is fine but my absolute favorite movies I like to have the Blu-Ray of. All of my anime is digital because I live in the U.S. and anime is not nearly as readily available here as it is in other parts of the world. ani-me
Both Digital, for actual use, easy to store, find, sort, access, less space, often cheaper of the two Physical, for collection mostly..showoff? also, usually more reliable  Also, it depends on the stuff I want to store
Dab is a Cunt
Depends on the type of media. Digital's way more convenient but it's also fickle. I've had mad digital shit get corrupted and theres always the bullshit with licensing agreements not getting renewed and shit becoming unavailable. Physical's annoying but it's durable. For tv I can go either way, but for reading and gaming I prefer physical (honestly not sure why I prefer physical for reading, keeping books in good shape can also get annoying, but for whatever reason I prefer physical). pinkmattered
This was a hard decision because I love hard copies of anything (Films, TV shows, books) but I tend to opt for digital media just so I have the choice to create gifs if I so please, and share my favorite moments amongst my friends
Tanis
I'd rather own something physically, but I'll admit it's a HECK of a lot easier to consume media digitally.
