I haven't had any serious projects, so I thought a new thread might help me get some inspiration. Am I happy with what I'm making at the moment? Not quite. But hopefully I'll be at a level where I can be, soon.

Your newest signature is pretty awesome, a couple minor isssues that I can see though. First off, you may want to turn down the contrast, the shining skin doesnt really work that well with the darker colours of the background and hair in my opinion. Also the text doesnt really work quite as well as it should since the white is hard to read, The effect you put behind it fixes this somewhat, but not perfectly. Still, looks good and I will likely put in a request if you do open up a request shop. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Yeah, I've been meaning to download some new texts for a while. Don't know why I haven't. :x And I'll keep the contrast in mind for future works. :3 Thanks for the C&C.

My latest SOTW entry, and the ava to go with it.

I just learnt how hard it is to make an avatar using only 50kb! Daaamn. Just downloaded some brushes(finally), so photoshop becoming more fluid again! :3
R.Shop will be opening sometime before February, end of January.

But yeah your new set is good and I know the feeling 50kb limits my style :| -shakes fist at whoever made that limitation!-

I got too many brushes now I just need to find/make textures for my stuff xD.

And yeah, I found myself constantly going back and tweaking my avatar to try to fit it at 50kb without giving up on the quality. D':

Where do you get your brushes from? I downloaded ~4-6 packs, but am only using 1-2 of them. :c

http://brushesdownload.com/ <- that's where I get all my brushes from, they have a ton to select from.

I actually lucked out on mine and just used a URL instead of uploading it and it worked 52.8 KB squeeked by the system!

I have around... 30-40 brushes to choose from atm xD so I have plenty of options

A new update, with another sig/ava combo. I've been dying to make a vocaloid signature, so I just went off and did it a few days ago. (quite happy with the results)

*Note: It was a fan-art render that I used, and they changed their outfits! :x I'm 90% sure that it's Kagamine Rin/Len though!

Your most recent work is pretty awesome, I must admit. The only thing that bugs me is the border on this one. Since it is going over the render, the black lines going through their heads and chests draw the eye away from the render and text. Guess I am just being nitpicky, especially since this one turned out quite well. And as always, I hope to see more of your work.

As always, thanks for the c&c! I've actually been keeping my Photoshop files rather clean, so that would be as simple as changing the order of layers!

Exactly what I was talking about. Personally I think that it looks better, but I guess it all depends on your personal views.

I agree with Lemming, the one where the characters overlap the border looks better, and tbh I might attempt to change mine to that kinda of style now >w>, I wanna ask though how did you add the faint black line around the inner edge of the border, I've been trying to mess with it but I can't seem to pull it off
