well i guess these should be enough there are a boat load of anime i love but these are the very best which i would ever recommend to some 1 and another thing all these are really short anime series so its really easy to watch em xDD

GTO ,Slam Dunk ,D.gray man, Nana , Monsters ,Ghost in the shell series ,black lagoon and gantz they are a little long .....and bakuman and the world god only knows are ongoing <.<

Can't recommend Baka to Test and Black Lagoon enough, both of these animes are two of my favourites. 

 

You should also look into Steins Gate, Gundam 00 and Fairy Tail.

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom - Engrossing and soul crushing (if you're into that)

Mawaru Penguindrum - Brilliant series. Fantastic characters and plot, and will give you a lot of feelings

Hyouka - Another great series. Starts off slow, but features some of the best character development I've seen in years. You'll fall in love with everyone.

Psycho-Pass - Currently airing, but a great series. Grim, dark and gritty with a healthy serving of dystopia. It can be pretty gruesome at times, but it's gruesomely good? That's what keeps you hooked, a ha!

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - GREAT SHOW. I'm not going to start on how good it is, because I'll rant forever, but IT'S THAT GOOD.

 

I'll second the recs for Gundam 00, Gurren Lagann, Steins;Gate and Death Note, too.

I would definitley recomend guilty crown (stunning graphics and art), sword art online (utterly impossible to not like imo) and claymore (exclusively female warriors hacking up monsters..what's not to love..)

I have no clue how these are already not on my list! haha! I've seen a good half of these, I'll give the other half a go now!
