How to connect with irc client with mac?

I am redundant when it comes to irc. I have tried to download anime about 10 times now with X-chat now, but to no avail. I can't even figure out how to connect to kametsu irc server yet. I am unable to access the tutorials on the main page too.

If you cant connect to irc.kametsu.com, try irc.xertion.org - the kametsu one forwards to xertion anyway.

I tried X-chat, but I couldn't get around it really, but Limechat works good for me, simple, looks cool and it works, I've downloaded a lot of stuff with no problem
