Banned from the IRC Kametsu server?

Hi,

I've been banned from the Kametsu IRC server for a while now, and I have no idea why or when I was first banned. I used to use the server with no problems, and can't think of any reason for the ban (...would a location change trigger it? I used the server in the US and used it when I travelled to the UK too). It's perplexing.

The exact error message I get is this:

Error(474): #Kametsu Cannot join channel (You're banned)

I'm not the only one who's had this happen to them, apparently (like this person).

I believe my hostname is this: 82-69-44-126.dsl.in-addr.zen.co.uk

While I'm hoping that the ban is removable, if the ban is going to stick I'd at least to know why I was banned in the first place.

Thank you,

Rev

I've found one matching ban in the channel's ban list that coincides with the hostname you gave. It has apparently existed since before October 5th - I can't give a more specific date as to when the host was banned, as that date comes from the last time one of our main server hubs split from the network (when servers rejoin, they re-set the bans they "know" about which unfortunately resets the timestamps on them).

This of course also means the name of the person that set it is also overwritten so I couldn't tell you who or why, either. I'll pop it off the list momentarily.
