Saddest Moments in Games

What are some of the saddest moments in video games you remember and effected you the most of all

for me 1 game series has the 2 saddest moments i have ever come across

1.Gears of War 2

2.Gears of War 3

both moments are Doms when he first must put his wife down (i cried ;-

and the other is in 3 when Dom gives up his life to save marcus (again i cried)

mine has got to be in FF7 when Sephiroth stabbed and killed Aerith

I mean come on, killing a main character like that 1/2 way through the game was bull and EXTREMELY emotional all at the same time

This would be the ending of FFX. Poor Yuna, her pets and her lover just disappered... XD

the gears of war moments were definitely emotional, especially the sacrifice. Although tai's suicide was pretty bad as well.

some of the mass effect moments are pretty bad as well, despite the normally cheesy dialogue. Like when they abandon earth and see the kid get blasted, or when/if thane intervenes at the citadel.

Other than those, I can't think of many atm.... might remember some at a later date...

The ending of FF: Crisis Core and KH:BBS both hit me pretty hard.

Yea definitely have to go with crisis core. one of the saddest moments in my experience. Birth by sleep was kind of sad, theres still hope for the future of that series.

The saddest moment I've seen recently would have to be Assassin's creed Brotherhood where Desmond had to stab the girl(forget her name)

This would be the ending of FFX. Poor Yuna, her pets and her lover just disappered... XD

you are going to hate me for saying this but the ending to FFX was the best...having to grit your teeth through the entire game just to beat it cause you cant leave a game undone..and then that end where Yuna tries to hug Tidus and slams her face into the floor of the ship their on and not only that her face bounces..if you watch closely she slams her face twice into the ship, i fell out of my chair laughing so hard my family dialed 911 thinking i was dying cause i couldnt breath xD

p.s i have bought the game 4 more times since then i hate the game but cant stop playing it >.> so ultimately you win this round FFX

The one game I can think of right now was at the end of Persona 3. It was a really good ending, but sad at the same time. I shed one manly tear.

Well the saddest moment i had in a game was that i complete a game within 8 hours and if i play a game. I want to have more then only more then 8 hour story mode and you can only do that. Thta's no fun for me

dark souls when you kill kill qualona the spider boss and talk to the spider covenant with the witches ring she tells you the eggs have destroyed her to badly and shes blind not relizing your not her sister and your the one that killed her

Metal Gear Solid form 1-4, Portable Ops, Peacewalker. I have same feeling with Saidon bro. Snake is always Forever alone.The awe moment when you know true hero is big boss (Naked Snake) and the fool is Solid Snake.

Even though it was a particularly scary game series...

In the game series, Silent Hill, when Lisa died! It was really sad you know, how he had to block the door to make sure she didn't escape and turn into a puppet nurse. But I still felt sorry for her, she and the main character were friends! And also, she had been in the series for a while, and I didn't expect her death.

Haha well Solid Snake isn't necessarily a fool. He was brought into the whole patriot thing too late and couldn't really see how he was being used. Big Boss however was there from the beginning. They are both equally awesome in my books, Solid wanted to avoid people because everyone he gets close to dies. Big Boss is an extraordinary leader and he had a fitting end on The Boss's grave with his son there. Couldn't ask for a better ending

Oh yeah and I remember reading somewhere that Solid Snake has an IQ of above 180 LOL

i would say in FFIV when Palom and Porom turn themselves to stone to save everyone. (even though that isn't permanent)
