[Movies] Good Anime movies?

I wanna watch some anime movies. Prefer them not part of or based of a TV series unless it's REALLY good. (No stuff like bleach, naruto, and inuyasha). I also prefer stuff in english.

I just finished watching The Place Promised in Our Early Days. It was okay, I did like some parts of it.

I've seen Apple Seed but really don't feel like it's worth going back to.

I've seen Munto and really liked it but not really the ending.

I'm not really all that picky just most movies based on an anime TV show are a waist of time and I only care to watch them if I'm really into that anime at the time. I HATE Horror and Mafia stuff as well and I'm a girl so sex appeal stuff bores me.

You can suggest non-japanese animations as well but chances are I've seen it.

Only anime movie I can possibly think of that isn't based on a TV series is Arrietty. I went and seen it at the movies, and i think it was a pretty good movie. It's made by the creators of Ponyo and Spirited Away; Studio Ghibli.

The movie is about a tiny, bug-sized fourteen year old girl named Arrietty, who lives underneath the house of an old lady. Her family lives by "borrowing things" from the old lady's home. One day she meets a boy named Sho, who is lonely.

Honestly you should just sit back and watch all the awesome Miyazaki movies. They are directed by Miyazaki and done by Studio Ghilbi, plus they are some of the best animated works to date. Personally I really enjoyed Princess Monoke, Howl's Moving Castle, and Nasiica and the Valley of the Wind(probably my favourite).

I actually own Howl's Moving Castle DVD. But I never sat down and watched it.

I'll probably re-watch Castle in the Sky it's been like 6 or so years.

I've seen Princess Monoke way too much.

I was trying to remember Spirited Away so I will re-watch that as well.

Pretty much every one of them was before the filehost fiasco of January 2012.

Try requesting the missing ones, and hopefully someone can help take care of them.

Most of the good ones have been named but Akira is the must see if you haven't and Sword of the stranger is also good
