Are some animes too short

It really just depends on the anime in question. I think some have ended prematurely from what I have seen. Though in most cases anime is 26-50 episodes long because popularity drops or budget runs out. While I do tend to favor the longer series I do relies why most tend to be shorter.

Unfortunately theres vary few anime that take more than a half hour. How ever when they do they can really be pleasantly filling.

okay im new here but instead of making the anime op and ed shorter why dont they anime get to the point or run the correct time frame?? i remember one episode of dbz when some caracter said in five minutes the planet will blow but it only blew up in ten episodes?

back to the topic the intros are nice for they give you a feeling on the anime that you are watching even though i agree that it should be shorter , but the ending credits? if we wanted to know who wrote the episodes then we will have alredy watch them in the first episode! well what i find nice in certain anime like bleach or naruto is that at the end there is a short story if you follow it all that brakes the feeling of longing just enough for us anime freaks not to go on a rampage.lol.

Yeah there are also anime that only having 15 min/episode and they also containing an opening costing 1:45sec and ending having an 1:50sec and also containing preview in the end of anime that cost 30sec if you sum it up it totals to 4mins I think that anime is Final Approach containing 13 episode.

I'm usually indifferent towards how long an anime is. As long as the story is wrapped up enough then I could care less. Gurren Lagann was 27 episodes and wrapped up pretty nicely. Naruto and others such as Bleach could learn alot from anime like that.

I'd say it depends totally on how much I'm enjoying the anime. Gunslinger Girls and Black Lagoon being two I wish would go on and on...and mustn't forget Cowboy Bebop which I fellt had a lot more story left in it.

I somewhat agree, like I notice a lot with bleach they tend talk about the previous episode for wayy too long. Some episodes didn't actually get to the episode until like 8 minutes in.

I believe writers have to keep certain episodes short otherwise the next episode could lack some essential information that should be fill by a upsetting summary of the past episode or full series as it was always done Dagon quest, though I'm not totally sure about that.

yes i think their too short as well some of the series/season ony have 12 episodes when they could expand to the 20+ a season like dragonball z and numerous others.

Yeah...loads...mainly the ones that are like only 12 episodes long....they should be able to do better and make it atleast 20+

to much anime is coming out and most of them are to short if there gonna follow the manga at least make sure to have enough volumes to make at least 2 seasons man

Would really like to see a second season for kenichi i really loved that show right now the manga is really eppic and they do have enoth that they could make another season or 2 even hajime no ippo could get anothe season or 2 in my books

I think its better to have an anime with only 13 episodes than one with 20+ episodes but all fillers.

To counter point your post though if you really wanna see short just check steel angel Karumi, those run about fourteen minutes or so. Two minutes of ed included.

The really epic 13-26 animes have potential to atleast go a bit further to 50 and not overdo it. But we all get that OMG MOAR when we finish an anime.

For me I felt like this for:

*Code Geass (even though it was a 50 what ep anime so it was perfect)

*Elfin Lied (13 eps? Really? If they followed the manga it would be atleast 35)

*Guilty Crown (22 Eps, I simply wanted more haha)

I don't mind if animes are stretched out a bit only when there is proper character and plot development without being boring or losing its effectiveness. Only some anime can continually be interesting with long episode count (one piece imo), whereas others are stretched too long and lose its overall effectivenss
