It might have been a little slow to start off with, but it got a lot better the more the characters developed. Now I want to watch Shippuden, but can't find all the episodes to download!! Minkseru Posted July 30, 2012 Report Share Posted July 30, 2012 I actualy started Naruto from Shonen Jump, and from reading shonen jump got through the first couple of chapters of Naruto and one piece, then thanks to a friend of mine got to watch a bit of the japanese version before I actually watched the english version. SerafinaStar Posted August 3, 2012 Report Share Posted August 3, 2012 I actually avoided Naruto for the longest time for whatever reason I can't remember. Then on a whim I downloaded the first episode a couple months ago and got into it. I can't place my finger on any one reason why I like the show. One of the major reasons I can think of off the top of my head is the growth in Naruto and really all the younger characters. I keep watching to see how much more Naruto grows and matures (plus to see if he becomes hokage). I like shows where the little person/outcast/etc ends up proving himself worthy of people's time. Does that make sense? For example with Gaara, yes he was terrible in the beginning but thanks to his battle with Naruto he was able to grow from hating the world because of what was done to him into the character he is now. But i still kept on watching because of its huge fan following and wanted to at least test it out to 30 episodes. And am I glad that I did. Its my favorite series now. I can't help but to root for the underdog because I connect with them so much. I keep watching because I love to see how the characters grow through time. I think it was a good fighting anime and that's why I decided to keep watching it... Unfortunately it was the English dub so I had to get through the Believe It stages..
