lemmingllama
During the planning stages of Code Geass, C.C.'s name was originally intended to be Cera (セラ, Sera), but it was later dropped. However, some closed captions sometimes refer to as Cecile. Source is Code geass wikihttp://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/C.C.

RikuoAmero
I want to know why the English dub calls her C 2 (as in, saying See-Two) when her written name is C.C. Why did they decide not to pronounce it as See-See?

DrumRoll
C2 falls in line with the whole 'chess' ethos of the anime, I think.....besides, c.c wouldn't sound right, its too cute as opposed to the more clinical C2.

Her name is C.C. That is 2 letter Cs. That can therefore also use the name C2. It's not hard to understand the logical behind that ,since I don't think they said her real name (The meaning of each letter C in any of the shows or manga). Alegend1994
This is one of the things I looked up after finishing both series, it has no real relevance to the story I was just interested, but as said above C2's real name was never revealed and in my opinion I liked that because it kept C2 mysterious even until the end. A couple of searches came up with her name being Cecile, or something else along those lines, but it was never said in the actual anime. Also I haven't watched it in Japanese but I prefer the sounding of C2 over CC. RikuoAmero
Did you listen to how it was pronounced in the Japanese dub?Nope. Code Geass is one of those rare anime series with an English dub so awesome that I don't even bother with the Japanese track. Yu-Gi-Oh is even worse in that regard: even if I were to get my hands on the original Japanese dubbed videos, I doubt I'd watch them (even though they're uncensored) because of the sheer awesomesauce that is Dan Green and Eric Stuart. The Cake
since I've only watched the anime I assumed her name was *drip*. My guess is that her real name is found in the manga, just a hunch though.
