Koby
Synopsis:The story is set on Okinawa's isolated island of Iwado, which has seen a growing movement advocating a return to an autonomous government. Ao Fukai, a 13-year-old boy with a missing father, lives on the island with an old doctor named Toshio and is about to enter middle school. Ao's mother was taken away a decade ago by unknown individuals. Naru Arata, Ao's 13-year-old childhood friend and the story's heroine, lives with her father, older sister, and grandmother. She has a "Yuta" power awakened within her due to an incident when she was young.A mysterious entity called "Secret" suddenly appears and launches an attack on the Scub Coral lifeform on the island. In his fervent desire to protect the island, Ao launches a certain military FP called "Nirvash" aboard a Japanese military transport.

DrumRoll
I need to finish the first season-but Renton is such a little bitch (I dare someone to defy that) that it ruins the series for me. Stop whining, stop crying, get in your motherf****** robot and kick ass. Surely its not that hard?

shadowtheman
I need to finish the first season-but Renton is such a little bitch (I dare someone to defy that) that it ruins the series for me. Stop whining, stop crying, get in your motherf****** robot and kick ass. Surely its not that hard?Challenge excepted. Yes he starts out, afraid, insecure and spoiled. Thats what character development is for. As the show progresses you see all the characters shed there old stigmas and develop. The seen were Renton catches Eureka in mid air during a huge battle was awesome. It made the show have a slow plot progression but I liked the more real style. Rather than the old and over used cliché of. Hero finds robot/weapon/revenge and then instantly falls into the role despite who dies/ is blown up/betrays/and or all of the above. This is something that happens in most animes. How ever back to the topic at hand. The description sounds more like this is a prelude rather than a sequel. I have played the ps2 games for Eureka and there already a prelude. It tells how the Gecko state is formed why people wave board on L.F.O.s and every thing. This story must take place before people left Earth for the first time. Before the Scubs covered the entire world.http://www.animekon.com/trailer-5158-Eureka-Seven-AO-Trailer.htmlI found a good trailer for it here. It seems like I was wrong, but who knows. The trailer doesn't show much.
Kid Ryan
This is great news, but I wonder who will be licensing and english dubbing this sequel series?(since Bandai is out of the question now, thanks to their latest decision/move)
Seiji
Well to say whether or not the series needs a sequel would be subjective. However, I will say that I've wanted a sequel for years now, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Warderick
The main character, Ao, is Eureka and Renton's kid so I think it at least promises to be funny
Alegend1994
The main character, Ao, is Eureka and Renton's kid so I think it at least promises to be funnyI'm not sure on that I thought that was a little idea created by the fans, it may be true in the end but I'll wait for the anime to find out.Anyway I can either learn Japanese or wait for it to be dubbed by someone, hopefully it will be dubbed since Bandai USA has gone under. This was one of the series that I was alright with it finishing on season 1 but now that a sequel is coming out I'm becoming more and more excited =)Plus a new styled Nirvash and new characters is even more amazing, still I hope it gets dubbed.
