Diablo Posted October 7, 2011 Report Share Posted October 7, 2011 My sister downloaded this Anime called Lucky Star, so I decided to give it a try. I started to watch it and just turned it off after the op theme song,(it was kinda weird). I usually watch Action, Mystery, Fantasy but I don't mind watching occasional shoujo(I've watched Fruits Basket and I liked it). Its pretty funny but some of the jokes refer to Japanese culture and because I watched it dubbed I didn't get some of them (switched to subtitles during those instances). Dude888 Posted October 19, 2011 Report Share Posted October 19, 2011 I almost skipped the opening on the first episode and it took me a little time to get used to this genre (Its not really my style, I watch action stuff) but after the 3rd episode or so I just couldn't stop watching and laughing. I literally have a smile on my face at every episode I watch.Oh and, I recommend watching other stuff before like code geass or full metal panic, because they are always making a reference to some Anime or Manga. ShredAlert Posted March 8, 2012 Report Share Posted March 8, 2012 Lucky Star is my favourite anime. I have just finished watching it about a week back. It is as random as you can get and hilarious. The reason people tend to like Lucky Star (well I think so at least) is because people can relate to everything that happens in the anime. There are many weird situations that pop up every now and then and also many conversations that the characters in Lucky Star have (they seem pointless but they add to the enjoyability of the show). There are also many spoofs and references to other anime and manga. I like Lucky Star and would give it a 9/10 would give it a 10/10 but I guess nothing is perfect. xD Oh yes, nearly forgot to say, I love the opening and ending theme of the anime. That is all. For me, Lucky Star is one of those animes that carry a little truth in them and make you say "THAT'S SO TRUE!!!" when it gives a little fact of life.
