[Anime] Anything Like Death Note/Geass?

Just as the title says.... Please suggest any anime which makes the audience think about wats gonna happen next.... BTW i wasnt interested in the mobile suits in geass, it was the tactics of lelouch which got my attention just as the tactical fight in death note between light and L.

Notes:

-I would prefer english dubbed series.

-I'd prefer if the story is ongoing like death note, not the ones which start and end in each episode like pokemon.

Yea, have watched it, but its all about real action not tactical strategies. In addition every episode of it represents a different setting which i am not looking for as for me it makes things boring.

To be honest Death Note is a rare breed and there really isn't anything else that comes close to it within it's department. People are constantly spamming the recommendation section with this exact same question, so you can look in any of those topics to get the same answer.

Here is a few that will be the closest you can possibly get to the same style:

Spiral - These anime both has a similar supenseful approach in solving mysteries by out wittting their opponent. Both animes have their characters think of detailed and ingenius plans. Both keeps you guessing.

Darker than Black - Both are about how the people who have powers use them in the right and clever way to outdo their opponent, and not that if one person has a slightly better power that he wins by default or something like that. They both have that detective vs. plotter, and also they both have that mid-episode cliffhanger where you really have no idea how they would solve or handle the solution, but then they come with the most awesome things that you really never would have thought of.

Eden of the East - Doing what's best for the world is the aim in both. In Death Note using a notebook to get rid of criminals, in Eden of the East a mobile phone that grants any wish for it's carrier. They also share a companion with each one (Shinigami in Death Note, and Juiz in Eden of the East).

Shion no Ou - The elements of mystery and suspense are all there. Though the plots are both very different, I think if you enjoy the type of anime Death Note is, then you'll definitely love Shion. *subtitled only*

Hmm thnx for the reply koby, i'l try to check em out, however i did try searching for it before starting this post but as you said, i failed to find some decent animes in those threads. Maybe because death note really is a rare one, however it wasnt the plot i was interested in, it was the tactitcal strategies in death note and code geass which caught my attention.
