Riku
The card system to me was ok but I thought they should have left it out of the game and just kept the regular action like on KH and KHII.
Koby
But they can't do that kind of action on GBA...

† Emotional Outlet
It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. I don't think I've ever been faced with a battle system that sucked terribly. It could've been done in a more action-oriented fashion without cards. Like... just get rid of the cards and then go from there. I don't mind having to touch the monster first to initiate battle--probably a lot simpler that way anyway than just having all the monsters sprawled out on the map like it is on the console. Dojiro Lipra
i personally like the concept of having cards for medians of battle. It meant that you had alot farther to go than just simply beating the game. I only wish that I could have done alil more with riku than just maxing out his level. I kept kicking my friends @$$es on it to. if we all could have the same moves without cards than that couldn't have been possible. oh and axel is a big meanie. unerasable sin
it was something new which was risky by square-enix but i agree with you guys, cause i really didn't like it either. it was kinda confusing in some respects, but really great to have cloud as a card to come and use omnislash now and then. although the attack wasn't really anything special. Duelist Dx
I actually liked it. It made you play a little more tactical then just smashing the attack button. I only had a difficulkt time at Malificent dragon, and Now at Riku on floor 13 :'(
Guest Xerph_IceBlade
it made the game more harder so i liked it but it got harder along the way

OtakuSausage
I didn't mind it most of the time I think the only time I hated it was the Vexen 2, Axel 2, and Marluxia boss fights.
DraconicHart
The card system is notoriousfor being the most obnoxious blocking system in the gaming world. still, I can't help but feel that it was rather compelling. I actually found it quite fun most of the time.
Und3r_h3ro
I liked for some reason it made the game easier for me. Most people didn't like it because you had to swing your keyblade wisely instead of swinging like crazy lol
luckystar965
I personally didn't like the way the card system worked in the GBA game, but I fell completely in love with it in the PS2 one. Not many share the same opinion like I do, but the card system is one of the most well thought out, and detailed thing in the saga. I loved the varies customizations that came with the system, but one thing that I don't like about it is the time it takes to access enemy cards. Other than that, I liked it and I hope it comes back in later games.
Anon316
It definitely made chain of memories/re: chain of memories a unique game, but unique doesn't always mean better... But I guess like people have said it was designed to make up for the limitations of the GBA. In terms of gameplay, if you take the time to master the card system, you can fly thorught the game with ease, while if you try to ignore it and rush through... you will end up struggling later on. Carmty
For me the card system was actually challenging in the PS2 for Re:chain of memories. Even if it's hard at times it is challenging at the same time
