† RazorDan
i made one for over-rated, and now under lolagain its your opinion, so NO abuse! what is the most under rated anime?im gonna say Mai Hime. an emotional rollercoaster, great mecha, awesome fights and a powerful story, gave it 9/10http://myanimelist.net/anime/98/Mai-HiME
† Anras Rune
Mecha? Wtf?! I've just finished watching it and I saw no mecha just wierd magic thingymajigs...decent series tho...For me it is probably blassreiter, original story, not the normal setting, good subplots and some pretty kick ass characters gives it an 8.5/10 for me... Wake
I don't know how underrated this is, but I never hear this anime in conversations of best all around series which I think it should be... Xam'd: Lost MemoriesIt has a great plot with just as great storyline and characters with the character development some of the best I've seen. The only thing that could of made it better is to explain the ending, but otherwise for me this was a perfect show - 10/
Koby
I'd probably say Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 for the sheer fact that it's my 2nd favorite series of all time but is almost never talked about. Given the setting and story I do not feel it's the type that would do well in transition for dubbing, nor do well with most American Anime fans to warrant dubbing anyways, but that is perfectly fine because it has one of the best Japanese Dubs I've heard. I'm not claiming they put emotion in when they don't like most Anime n00bs try to. I mean you can really feel the emotion in this series, enough so I had tears coming at one point in the show (you'll know the part if you watch it). It really got to me and the casting and music really helped bring out such a greatly artistic series. Check out the opening it has some awesome artwork too. I also enjoyed both the OP and ED, although the series was only 11 episodes in length it still feels like it had just the right amount.
Nero D. Ace
There are a couple of anime that I think are way too under-rated seeing as how good they are.Air Gear - Seriously, at first I had thought this was just an anime with punks on roller-blades but it's so much more. I really hope they make a second season after finishing the OVA's.One Piece - Despite being a mainstream anime and having crossed the max number of episodes of Dragon Ball and DBZ combined, I still feel that this anime doesn't get the attention it deserves. The fault of this lies completely with 4Kids. If they hadn't dumbed it down for 3-year old children, more people would have liked it. FUNimation has done justice to it with it's dubbings however and it's WAY better than Bleach or Naruto, which keep putting a lot of un-natural filler in it everytime they get close to catching up to the manga.GetBackers - This is an anime onto which you get hooked after the first 10 minutes. Completely original characters with various flaws and pros, this one had a really good run of about 60 episodes or so before it ended.

lady_kurai
I would have to say Ceres A Celestial legend it has a really good storyline it just never seemed to get very popular. It was done by Yuu Watase who made Fushigi Yugi but it was never as popular!

Deschain254
Birdy The Mighty: DecodeOne of the more interesting Sci-Fi shows out there. It had great likable characters and the feel of the show was almost nostalgic which is always nice. Shame it bombed in sales. Will never get another season to finish the adaptation, which stinks because I would love to know how the story ends.Magical Shopping Arcade AbenobashiPlain and simple, it's one of the funniest shows I've ever watched. Better than Excel Saga, Seto, Lucky Star and every other parody show out there.(and now for a curve ball)Summer WarsYes, Summer Wars. How is Summer Wars underrated? It was nearly nominated for an Oscar! It's underrated because for some reason people seem to think the plot hole filled The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (made by the same director) was better. I enjoyed both, but to me there was not even a comparison.

Well if your talking the dub... then I don't know one way or another, but who cares about the dub for this series? I don't; at least for affecting whether another anime season is made or not. I do agree and I forgot myself; this is one awesome sci-fi show and I really hope a third season will be made. As of right now, the show is still up in the air for a third season is what I'm hearing, because the manga is still going on though I heard something bad went down with the director and the author, so who knows I guess. Maverick
Id say Area 88 (the remake). Im a fan of aviation and this anime is the works. amazing air combat and an awesome story. the protagonist is one of the best characters ive seen. But i have hardly come across any fan recognition. It deserves much more

Why would I be talking about the dub in reference to a new series being made anyway? Even if I did watch the dub (which I did do actually, I love Luci Christian) it's sales would not effect anyone but the license holder. When you buy licensed anime not a single dime goes to the studios in Japan. The way they make money off licenses is by selling the rights to the license holders. That's it. Birdy or any licensed anime would have to be a mega hit to have any impact on whether a new season is made. The series pretty much bombed from what I heard so, no season 3 for us. I would be ecstatic to be wrong though. Here's to hoping.

Here's to hoping. If I remember correctly the first directer went through all of season 1 and of season 2 then was fired, because he wanted to do a season 3 that did not follow the manga (mainly because the manga had not gotten that far yet) so a new person came on and did the ova and after that finished in an interview he said something along the lines of; he would be happy to make another season that followed where ever Yuuki, Masami (the author) takes the story. So that at least means they have a directer, but yea I understand about the stuff with. if it didn't do well in Japan then it will be hard to get a new season, but there's at least the manga (if it would get translated that is, lol). Deschain254
Ergo Proxy - how is it that I'd never heard of this prior to reading about it on TV Tropes?Wait, you think Ergo Proxy is underrated where as NGE is overrated in the other thread? I'm fine with either/or even as a huge NGE fan but to have both in opposite categories is silly. I'm not even going to start though, just know that it's silly. Koby
I'd say Code Geass.People should stop spamming. Don't just post a name and quit, explain why you feel that way. Also how is Code Geass under-rated? It's one of the most popular and highest rated series ever even with it's poor story telling, plot hole filled, and overuse of deus-ex-machina to fulfill it's wants.
