I'd have to vote for Digimon; that was what I watched when I was growing up, aside from "Season 1" of pokemon (Yeah, I'm talking the original series).

Personally I thought Digimon was more appealing to the asian side in me, aside from the digital stuff. Kind of funny though - I liked the first two seasons as well as the 4th & fifth? Whichever one they used cards to digivolve and the one after that with the four or five kids who digivolved into their digimon.

-------------

Pokemon was great, but it went downhill and seeing Team Rocket getting whipped every episode got old; real fast.

Monster Rancher; The games are great - the few episodes of the anime that I saw - not that great. Mediocre at best.

Digimon (though im a fan of the earlier series') i loved it so much when i was a kid and still do now, i never got into the whole pokemon thing to me it made nosense, whereas digimon was easy to understand and made so much more sense to me...(and also i always had a major crush on Tai and Matt *sigh*) Digimon FTW!

I pick Black Lagoon

lol. That made me chuckle quite a bit. I pick FLCL.

As a kid I was kinda into both. I can't remember which one I liked more back then. It was waaaaaaaay too long ago. Maybe Pokemon just because I remember liking the GB games. As for the shows, I don't know, I don't remember, and I don't care. Sorry, I can't stand any kiddy anime.

I remember way back in the day there was about 150 pokemon. How many are there now? . . . Over 9000!?

Edit- never seen Monster Rancher.

Pokemon all the way but I have to admit I'm kind of biased because I think that the other two anime are pretty lame.

How are they lame? Please explain so.

In my view, an anime show that actually ends after a certain number of seasons is WAY better than a show which keeps going on year after year with no signs of stopping.
