The sales can't be used as an accurate measure due to the X360's RROD that occurs often, making people go out and buy more. As some people have stated, they knew people that bought over 15 in one year due to the RROD. Due to problems like that, the 360 would always have more purchases and therefore get more money, also. Games are a more accurate measure, due to that problem.Not actually, because when a person gets RROD, he is not going to buy a XBox anew, and replacement does not count in actual sells, I don't now about Microsoft, but I guess they abide by their warranty. Now as for games, you never know the actual number of games sold, if it is taken to account, PS3s anti-piracy measure broke recently, about other two, they were already modded way before. Roughly 70% of the 360's sales can be contributed to idiots who continue to buy a broken system.Well, the guy(s) like that are definitely an idiot, and if what you are saying is true, then its simply the breach of consumer rights by Microsoft, a product bought, can be replaced as many times if it is within warranty period and the fault is due to manufacturing. My Sony Erc. Cell has been replaced like, 4 or 5 times, within a period of 8 months, and ever time they extended the warranty to 30 days =D, and my PS3 never gave me such problems. † Anras Rune Posted February 18, 2011 Report Share Posted February 18, 2011 some of the comments on this thread seem awfully convenient...ived owned every console since the ps1 at some point or another and have always liked the two main consoles for their seperate qualities (PS and Xbox)my friend had a brand new ps3 for a grand total of 16 hours before the thing broke down, and it has broken down 4 times since.me on the other hand ive had 3 xboxs. the first died cause of ma little brother's friends (they kicked it or somethin i still dont actually know what they did) the second i still have and the third i bought not to long ago, the new slim model. i have never had any problems with ma xboxs that came about without outside interference. hell i dropped my second xbox im ma pool and thing still worked, after i dryed it off.also you cant say that the console wars are over just because of their being more sales of ps3s in Japan...JAPAN...where is sony from...hmmm...i wonder.all this ps3 vs xbox crap pisses me off as you can all see... I game on pc, ps3 and my xbox360, and considering that the 360 and ps3 namely microsoft and sony will be at each others necks for all eternity I dont really care what magazine or show says is the winner. Its not a war unless some one dies; poor sega. Holy cow any one trying to declare a winner is like trying to declare witch tree gets the awesome tree award. And finely the kicker. I don't want this battle to end and to have one winner. If it were not for all the competition each company has we would end up with a lot of mediocre stuff. Don't believe me. I also own a PS3 and I play it mostly because of Final Fantasy. But even before that, I always had problems with it(the xbox(overheating, and even a RROD). All of the games I've wanted have been either Xbox/Wii exclusive, or all platform releases, so to me, the PS3 is just a really expensive Blu-ray player.
