† The Joker
In almost every game, there is at least 1 scene that is never forgotton because of its brilliance. Be this pure action, or slow, steady presure, there are always scenes that will never get old, no matter how many times they are viewed. So, for me, the greatest scene I've scene is as follows:game - Metal Gear Solid 1When facing off against Psycho Mantis, he will 'read' your data on your memory card. If he finds a certain game, he will say "you like (game name)". he will also talk about your progress through the game so far, and if you had a dualshock controller, he would make the thing vibrate - for its time, this scene was years ahead of anything that had come before it, and nothing has come close in terms of pure clevernessxGW0MDVyyXE
Shade_13
OK, i like the thread a lot, but i'm also sure that it will be loaded with spoilers of every kind. So if you plan on playing some of the games here in the near future, and would rather choose to stay oblivious of the most interesting plot twists yet - just skip the spoiler tag. On the other hand, if spoilers dont bother you much, or you already know the trick and just want to refresh your memory a little - go ahead, the world is yours. OK, to start with, there are lots of impressive scenes in gaming history, i chose to start with something simple. The game - Bioshock. As i said, beware, spoilers ahead. Not afraid of spoilers, are you? Smart boy (girl?).Almost from the very beginning of the game, we find the little help there is in this rotten place from a man, a single ally, called Atlas, who speaks to us with a lovely dialect, using a radio transmitter. He tells us about how Ryan, local governor and the main bad guy also, does his bad business, repressing good people's will. What a bastard, isn't he.So after a chain of various events, which include Atlas' trapped family's murder, we find ourselves in Ryan's head office, with a desire to kill the man. afMJmgszv-s...not something you'd like to learn about yourself - the fact that you'd been nothing else but a controllable tool, a marionette in others' hands. Not the least dramatical way to learn that either. In fact, it's pleasant to see an fps that has a plot, let alone a plot flexible enough to twist it. Not saying it's a well written novel, no, all that happened is bad guy's swap, before that we wanted to kill one man, now we wanna kill another. But still, deserves some praise. Now would you kindly close the spoiler tag...
idl12
Mine is from a pretty old game but it was one of my favorites, this is the scene in chrono trigger where Chrono gets killed, of course when I played the snes version of the game I didn't have this fancy cutscene to accompany the moment(lucky bastards).2v6HJuzSLZ8Not only was this a very sad moment in the game, one of the first video game moments that struck me as being tragic at my young age, what I really appreciated about this was that it was possible to revive Chrono or you could simply beat the entire game and leave him dead to get one of the 12 endings the game had. Nero D. Ace
here's an AWESOME scene from Residen Evil 4. it's basically a cut-scene boss-fight with Krauser.lol, when i first played this game, i made the mistake of resting back and letting go of the controller when the cut-scenes came ... yea, that paid off pretty well.39HkecWiQUI@idl - is it just me or do those two guys look an awful lot like Goku and Vegeta? Shade_13
Game: The DarknessSpoilers...A young guy works for his uncle-mob, till on his birthday he discovers a cute little bomb with a ribbon on it as a present from loving uncle and employer. After falling to death, Frank finds himself not swimming across Styx peacefully as one would expect, but rather "gifted" with ability to "control" powers of darkness - demonic creatures which feel a special sympathy towards our guy. Soon we find out the reason i put some words in brackets in the previous sentence. The scene shows Frank meeting his uncle, a mob and his lovely gf Jenny, and how the darkness interferes with the adorable reunion. † The Joker
CABw-9DW4L0An Ending that only Lu Bu deserves. Having successfully annoyed everyone in China by joining battles just to test his armies might, as well as taking several places for himself, the waring generals put aside their differences to launch an all out attack against Lu Bu and his army. Unfortunately, they forgot just exactly why he is feared in battle...LV25hHhh7l8
Nero D. Ace
youch ... doesnt matter WHICH dynasty warriors it is. Lu Bu is always trouble ... unless he's occasionally on your side during a battle.lol, funnily enough, even though it's those BAZILLION guys against one, i feel sorry for those poor bazillion bastards. † The Joker
yeah... whenever Lu Bu is concerned, attacking him is pretty much signing your own death warrent. Even with a hugely toughened up character, he's a pain! He's essentually the Kenpachi of Dynasty warriors! (just needs a sword and an eye patch!) Nero D. Ace
aye, here's my strategy for beating him :-sneak up from behind, get a nice combo going, don't break the combo, if the combo breaks - run!, pray he doesn't follow, if he doesn't follow - repeat, if he follows - reset game and try again.
