seirachan
well I wanna get a pet bird but my moms complaining that it has to be quiet. *rolls eyes* but she says it has to be a cocktail and not letting me pick out my own type. but w/e I guess I'm just gonna have to go with it. My mother has no care for animals and got mad at a dog for dying in her bed because it peed all over it. I understand I'll have to be the one taking care of the bird. She thinks it's $500 but I'm looking it up and its $20-130 depending on color pattern I guess. But knowing my mom she will probably only let me get a perfect one. *shrug* It's supposed to be my pet. But w/e I'll just have to go with it.
Shade_13
Some time ago a parrot flew into the house through the open balcony door, and since then i've had a parrot pet.Well, what can i say. Quiet? Don't make me laugh. The guy thinks screaming his throat off every morning is his sacred duty. I think he's male and is calling for a female, but who knows. Silly birdy, doesn't realize it's only him and his hand tonight...Then, naturally, a bird is like a mess producer, and if you gonna have pity on them and let them out of the cage for a while, it is gonna be everywhere. And in my case, the bird is almost absolutely wild, so petting him is out of question. Yours is from the window so you defiantly can't pet it lol. I want the bird to be my little buddy lol. My mom should be here most of the time while I'm at work to let him out and give him attention. So basically he should be a shared pet. I still need to look up basic care for the pet I'm gonna save up for a roomy cage so I wont be getting him tomorrow. Hes gonna be my one spoiled pet : D
† Anras Rune
i recomend a cockatoo. they have less of a mean streak, easier to clean out and beautiful looking birds! no to mention they can speak!
Koby
When I was little I had a couple Parakeets. They look like tiny versions of parrots.

lemmingllama
If you have it in a cage, then it can be quieted whenever by making it dark. Normally I put a blanket over my budgie's cage and it shuts up.
