Trust me its a lot worse when you get a job. Im lucky enough to get a job on the weekend working 12 hour days Friday to Sunday. I lost a year and a half of watching anime just to find out my boss doesn't care if we watch movies on our mp3 players on the job, just as long as we're working. That to me was worst then salt in the wound for me cause I lost intrest in a few I was watching and pretty much stopped buying and watching them. Now Im trying to get back into anime.

It's called balancing your life.

I run a business, take care of a family, am involved in community projects, and still have time to devote to my hobbies. You just have to sit down and figure it out. Prioritize. You may not get 5 hours a day to devote to anime (or whatever you like) , but that's an adaptation to life you have to make.

Honestly, I think you should be glad to be losing interest in anime at this point. Had a similar experience personally with games during college, but four years later I've passed all my courses with admirable grades, have a respectable income and caught up on all the games I missed already.

This is what I told myself, if it helps: [games/anime/comics/movies/TV/novels] are like a song. Nobody likes listening to ten seconds of a song, and then waiting a week for the next ten seconds. That just kills the song entirely.

Cutting back entirely might be the best thing, because you won't be left wanting to know the rest of the story, et cetera.

It's a tough gauntlet to run, but you're not griping about anime making school impossible and so it's clear that you're doing just fine. :P

well i think you should be focusing on your school life n homework n all that. Its an important part of your life that you need to go through and as for the animes, you can always catch up with them later ^^ and remember, chances aren't always there for you, but the animes are. so you should be enjoying your school life while you can!

It is for me! Because of school and homework and crap, I hardly have time to watch anime anymore, and it's really killing me! I forgot what episode of One Piece I was on, and same for Soul Eater. Because of school, I've basically LOST INTEREST in them.

THAT'S NOT GOOD.

i feel the same way :(

i'm taking engineering and its eating away all my anime time :(

i been trying to watch hajime no ippo for the last 3 months and i only managed to get to episode 34 :(

With a 10mo old its hard to sit and watch tv as it is, plus I usually have to wait till the wife goes to bed before I can play my video games or watch my shows. I usually have my anime or hand held with me when I go on my lunch break at work. I'll get about 2 episodes a day while i eat so I'm slowly catching up. Still a ton to watch though

I normally just stay up late®. It's strange, but I can actually function on around 7 hours of sleep. :D

Although during cross country season I loose most of my anime watching time. Between that and my clubs I'm in, I just hold off (barely) until the weekends. Or a day that I don't have much homework. Which is rare.

It's strange, but I can actually function on around 7 hours of sleep.

7 to 8 hours is the normal recommended sleep, but the average working class folk often get only 5 hours of sleep each night.

Being able to function on 7 hours of sleep should be fine for every one. If you're unable to function with 7 hours of sleep then there is something wrong with you and should seek a doctor or stop being lazy. Anyone who sleeps 9+ hours is really bad off. The more you sleep the less healthy it is, and anything passed that mark you usually wake up being more tired than you were when you went to bed.
